I won't lie, I haven't been happy with everything I have made recently and and sometimes finding myself doubting my abilities, and I get nervous or doubtful that I should post everything but I am determined to keep a semi regular posting schedule! And i decided that when o made this page it wasn't just to show my best bits but to show my progress as I hopefully get better!!

Anyway about this piece. It was made for my mum. When I started quilling again last year mum kept claiming everything I made therefore I promised to make her something just for her, and this is the result.

If anyone wonders why my productivity has gone down recently I recently started a second job (gotta earn that money) and I have two big distractions in terms of my parrots. While Rosie like to distract me by singing, tika likes to try get involved in the making process and likes to be helpful by stealing the coils she seems unworthy to go on the art and kindly shreds these for me 😂

This elephant was inspired by a painting by (check out her account it is awesome!) and I love the painting that much I am working on another version of this. Unfortunately I forgot to do a photoshoot before I left to give it to it's owner so these photos from our hotel bed shall have to do. I can't wait to get this next version finished to see if it is any better!

You may remember I recently got an African Grey parrot called Rosie. Well even more recently I got a blue and gold macaw called tika (yes like the curry!) When my mum first met her she ran off then came back with this!

I made this back in 2014 and when making it I never would of dreamed I'd actually be working with one of these birds everyday!

It also has enabled me to see how I have developed my skills in quilling although I am no where near how I'd like to be it is nice to see the progress I have made. And I definitely have plans to remake this!

It's been a minute or two since I last posted. I've been having a mad time working my other jobs and haven't been able to make as much as I would of liked.
I posted a timelaspes of this heart a while ago and finished this last week. However I decided I didn't like it and was going to delete it until I remembered that not everything we do is perfect and that the failures can be learning curves depending on how we look at them! With that said maybe I'll try to edit this into something better one day or I'll just start again!

I try to do things as cheap as possible this includes cutting my own quilling strips from nearly any paper I can get my hands on and these card backings were given to me by a friend so I thought I'd do some random things on them.
