I loved experimenting with some shadows and mark-making with smaller fragments of charcoal sticks. I think this is the nicest foot I’ve ever drawn 😅

Still can’t get over this yellow 💛 a perfect nod to Dr. No. And very obsessed with how the sunlight framed these Bond girls 💃🏻☀️

Today’s Life Drawing ✍🏻

Newest obsession are these greyscale charcoals! 😍🖤Oh how fab to be able to have those stronger lines without loosing the light hitting the figure - particularly around the face so it doesn’t become a smeared, overcrowded blob🥴

It was a good day for joints! So happy with how my elbows, knees and shoulders turned out. Again, feeling so confident working with a range of tones to instead of solely pure black.

And tiptop it off: proportional heads! What a day🤩🥳

A day of new materials and chopping off the top of heads ✍🏻

Thrilled to say I’ve managed to get proportionally accurate heads…even if the top didn’t quite fit on the page.

I was very kindly given a plethora of compressed charcoal to play with (thank you so much Ceris!) what a dream. Had so much fun using different tones of the charcoal instead of relying on pure black to create more shadows and contours. I found it particularly helpful in maintaining where the light was hitting Tim’s shoulders.

Very happy with these 40 and 20 minute drawings 🖤
