Part-Time Fishery Assistant
Ladybower Fisheries Ltd
Ladybower Fisheries is growing, and we’re looking for a reliable, enthusiastic and hands-on Part-Time Fishery Assistant to join our team.
This is a varied, practical outdoor role, ideal for someone who enjoys working outside, isn’t afraid of getting stuck in and takes pride in providing a great experience for our customers.
THE ROLE
• Must be flexible
• £Minimum Wage
• Full UK Driving Licence & own transport essential
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
• Delivering excellent customer service
• Helping with fish rearing, welfare and stock monitoring
• Assisting with fish stocking
• Preparing, launching and putting away boats
• Boat handling and assisting anglers
• Opening and closing the site
• General maintenance and upkeep of the fishery
• Ensuring health & safety standards are maintained
• Assisting with the general day-to-day running of the fishery
• The ability to use the on-line booking system (training will be provided) - Basic computer skills essential
WE’RE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO IS:
• Reliable, punctual and hard-working
• Flexible with working hours, including early starts and later evenings during the summer months
• Physically fit and comfortable with practical, hands-on work
• Happy working outdoors in all weather conditions
• Friendly and confident dealing with customers
• Organised, proactive and able to use their own initiative
• A good team player with a genuine passion for the outdoors
Previous experience isn’t essential, but any of the following would be an advantage:
• An angling or fisheries background
• Experience in outdoor leisure
• Boat handling experience
• First Aid qualification
• A genuine interest in fishing, fish keeping or the outdoors
