🎥 Work Experience Highlights!

Last week we had the pleasure of welcoming Mya and Finlay to our team as part of the Work Plus programme supported by Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council. As an AV company passionate about sharing what we do, we made sure they had a week to remember!

They had some exciting hands-on experience in a live streaming event at The Mac and some in-house camera training on many of our cameras, including our cinema line Sony’s!

They rounded off their experience with an exclusive visit to the incredible new Studio Ulster ahead of its grand opening, where we supplied and operated our PA and mixed the incredible Foy Vance and James Galway

They got hands-on with some seriously cool kit and real-world projects which will hopefully inspire them further on their career paths in the industry!

Huge thanks to Mya and Finlay for bringing their enthusiasm and curiosity.

About Last Week... Revolution Productions were proud to be asked to supply audio support for the official launch of Ulster for Lesley Maltman

For the Launch Event on Thursday, and the Studio Ulster team had planned an absolute extraveganza for those lucky enough to be in attendance.

On top of the sounds through the tour they were greeted by the amazing Arco String Quartet as they reached the end of the tour.
Before our Fabulous MC (and Chair of Studio Ulster) Anthony Lilley introduced the legendary Flautist Sir James Galway who provided a breathtaking live performance to open the main stage of Video Proudction Suite 1.
From there we heard from Chancellor of University of Ulster, First, Deputy First & Economy Ministers, as well as Blue Lights Co-Creator Louise Gallagher.
Head of VP Kyle Olson who highlighted the importance of virtual production industry wide now, and really emphasised just how cutting edge Studio Ulster is. Finally Declan Keeney wrapped up with a hearfelt insight in to what it has taken to come this far particularly in the time frame and what the future holds for Studio Ulster, as well as a special presentation to friend and mentor Frank Lyons.
But as if that wasn't enough, the night finished with an outstanding special solo performance by reknowned Northern Irish singer songwriter Foy Vance.

Congratulations to everyone involved in this incredible event, and to all of the staff and crew of Studio Ulster it surely spells a new and exciting future for Northern Ireland at the foreferont of film and tv production!

Special shout out to the Revolution Crew on this job for their hard work. And to some of the other suppliers on site who as ever were great craic to work with. Rebel Events, Press Eye Photography, Yellow Door Deli, North Down Marquees

We did say it was a busy week. And we weren’t done! Last Thursday also saw us in Titanic Belfast with Karen McAvoy and the team at NI Builder Magazine, supplying AV support for Construction Employers Federation 80th Anniversary Celebrations. ‘The Northern Ireland Construction Gala Dinner 2025’

In the build up to this event our video production team worked hard with Mark Spence (CEF) and Brown O'Connor Communications to put together a fabulous video outlining the history of the CEF and showcasing some of the sector’s most significant prior projects to date, and it was shown exclusively at the event.

On the night Revolution Productions supplied a full production package of sound lights and av. Our portrait screens adorning the famous titanic staircase, front projection from our Panasonic Visual System Solutions Europe laser projectors, and our Panasonic PTZ cameras supplying live shots to in house screens and some of our own large format screens as relays at the back of the venue. We also supplied a full control package of laptops running slide and video content for all those screens as well as for a pair our digital lecterns running motion graphics.

Audio was covered by our Electro-Voice PA system, for the packed 500+ audience in attendance. Utilising a number of radio mics for the speakers on the night as well as wireless IEM systems for the entertainment.

Our lighting package helped set the mood for the evening, highlighting the beautiful room and staircase as well as supply some impact for the entrtainment and special recognitions that happened on the night!

Shoutout to Ulster Exhibitions UEX for the awesome bespoke photo wall and backdrop for the stairs! And to the Titanic staff for always looking after us. Not to mention the Revolution Crew who made this event so special.

This was a huge evening for the Construction industry, celebrating the legacy it has in Northern Ireland while looking towards a bright future!
There were some familiar faces too in super host Pamela Ballentine, TV presenter and advocate for sustainable design Kevin McCloud and comedian Neil Delamere

Huge Congratualtions to CEF on 80 years! And here’s looking forward to Excellence awards in October.

Well we did say last week was ‘mostly’ about meet the buyer!! But that wasn’t all we were upto!! Corrine Weatherup & the team from The event-ful consultancy like to keep themselves (and us) busy, and also brought us on board for AV support at Invest Northern Ireland's Powering Productivity Conference at La Mon Hotel & Country Club.

We supplied a full audio visual package for both the main plenary session as well as three other break out rooms.

This included Panasonic Visual System Solutions Europe laser projection in the main room, as well as operated PTZ cameras offering live camera of the presenters and panel discussions. Laptops for presentations and monitors for the presenters and slido for running polls.

Each of the break out rooms benefited from a a pair of large format TV screens, with laptops for presentations. And we also supplied some smaller format screens, laptops and ipads for Invest NI staff for web demos and registration of guests.

On the Audio side, the main room used a multi speaker distributed system to ensure everyone heard clearly but in a controlled way, whilst the break out rooms had smaller PA’s for the presenters. The conference as a whole ran 24 Radio Mic systems across the 4 rooms, mixing headsets and hand helds for different needs, coordinated and managed by our staff to ensure no overlap or dropouts.

Great to be involved in this conference where delegates could hear from leading industry experts and local businesses about their productivity and innovation journeys. And included hearing from Economy Minister Dr. Caoimhe Archibald, Blaire Palmer and David Meade

Shout out to Ulster Exhibitions Limited for the great set, staging furniture and branded lecterns on this job. Always a pleasure working alonside the team at UEX and the bold colours on this one really stood out.

Throwback to last week. What a week!!
For Revolution Productions Last week was (mostly) all about Tourism Northern Ireland &

This year not only did we look after the fabulous dinners but due to the main event moving venue we were also responsible for audiovisual there.

A fabulous networking event opened proceedings on Wednesday evening Waterman House where we supplied an Audio & Lighting package to really highlight the venue and set the mood for Kwame Daniels amazing DJ Set. Great vibes for everyone all night. Not to mention the stunning food from Niall McKenna 🔥

Then down to the serious business at Eikon Exhibition Centre hundreds of tour operators and local suppliers gathered to showcase and learn what is great about Northern Ireland. A tricky space acoustically overcome with an L-Acoustics A15 system. Delivering crystal clear sound through the audience area.
We also supplied Panasonic Visual System Solutions Europe projection and PTZ camera, to deliver the visuals on to our AV Stumpfl screen. Along with a small lighting package to ensure a clear camera shot.

Then on to Belfast City Hall for a huge gala dinner!!
Another sound and lighting package here. Showing off the architecture of the stunning building as well as delivering some visual impact for the entertainment.
A distributed audio system here again ensured clear coverage throughout for speeches whilst also having the dynamic range to cover Joseph Leighton jazz trio, and the incomparable BCGC - Belfast Community Gospel Choir

Huge thanks as always to The event-ful consultancy for trusting us with their AV requirements, we love being part of these and all of your events!!
And a shout to the other suppliers for pulling together and being flexible ensuring the best result for the job.
UEX for all the staging branding and set & Blue Moon Event Design always making the rooms look fab!!

Special mention to the crew on these jobs too for going the extra mile on a busy week to pull these shows together!!
