Ballater Films Bringing movies back to Ballater It runs monthly features in the Mike Sheridan Room, V&A Halls, Ballater, with the aim of attracting a variety of audiences.

Ballater Films is a voluntary venture, run with the backing of the Victoria & Albert Halls Development Association and Ballater Victoria Week. Any profits are ploughed back in to ensure the project continues on its path to develop the halls as a community cinema venue. Anyone wishing to use Ballater Films to help host a fundraising event for their group, cause or charity is invited to get in touch.

We’re planning the next three years of community cinema across the North East, and we want to hear from you.

By taking a few minutes to complete our Cinema Survey, you’ll help shape:

Join us for a brilliant afternoon as we present Zootopia 2 on Saturday 28th March at 3pm, hosted in the beautiful Victoria and Albert Halls, Ballater.
Zootopia 2 is the best Disney movie in years, the film picks up the story from the first film where Nick Wilde (Jason Bateman) and Judy Hopps (Ginnifer Goodwin) are now partners at the police department. When their capabilities are doubted by the chief, they embark on a mission to track a thieving snake, Gary and unwittingly uncover the secret history of Zootopia along the way.

Join us for a truly excellent evening as we present The Roses on Friday 27th March at 7pm, hosted in the beautiful Victoria and Albert Halls, Ballater.
"The Roses," directed by Jay Roach, is a reimagining of the 1989 film "The War of the Roses," based on Warren Adler's novel. The film stars Benedict Cumberbatch as Theo and Olivia Colman as Ivy, a couple whose marriage begins to unravel as their professional lives take divergent paths.
