JOB VACANCY – MUSIC TUTOR (VOICE)

We are looking for a Music Tutor specialising in voice to work on a self-employed basis from September 2026 in a thriving Music Department. The Tutor is required for approximately 1 full day of teaching, although we are looking for someone who offers the potential to increase the provision. The exact working times can be negotiated with the candidate.

You will be required to instruct individuals and/or small groups of students in all aspects of musicianship and experience of directing vocal groups is essential. Facilities are available to work on the school premises during the day.

The successful applicant will be expected to prepare students for Associated Board examinations (up to Grade 8) or equivalent and for the performing elements in GCSE and A-Level courses, as well as rehearsing and directing the school’s senior choir. You should have knowledge of vocal technique and be able to maintain appropriate relationships with young people.
