I took a very lucky collector to have a private tour of Kerry Baldwin’s home, to have a sneak preview of his upcoming show and saw some very special early pieces of his work in his attic.

It’s quite magical when someone connects with a piece of art work, it’s like falling in love at first sight. From that moment forward, I could see that she couldn’t concentrate on any other pieces, and am pleased to say it will be on her wall very soon!

Very special experience, and to have an intimate insight into the artists home, artistic process and share his reminiscent memories of these works that meant so much in different stages of his life- incredible.

There is a bit of sadness when a show comes to a close.

Mr Trim has been a brilliant success, and it’s been incredible to be trusted with such an opportunity to launch an artist of this vision and profile.

To have a piece in The Times, and have such well known faces through the doors of Kaizen has been remarkable: it’s boosted the profile of Kaizen and really helped put us on the map.

The thing I’ll take away from this the most is the bond and friendship I have made with Jamie Wood, who represents Mr Trim and has driven the show from the outset. Great guy and we have had so much fun putting this together!

Onwards and upwards to the next exciting events at Kaizen, but just pausing to reflect on what an awesome thing this has been.

Thanks to everyone involved
