Julie commissioned Taz’s portrait back in January for her daughter, ‘s 18th Birthday. I completed him back in February and the excitement has been unreal! I know how much this gorgeous lad means to Katie and her family, so it was really quite special being asked to produce his portrait ☺️

Tack or no tack?

All my portraits so far have been of horses in a bridle and strangely enough, I’ve found it’s almost become a bit of a staple for my work! I personally believe it creates a far more interesting artwork - it’s funny what you can tell about a horse based on their bridle;

What does their bit tell us? What about their noseband? Even their browband sometimes tells us a little more about their rider if you think about it!

It’s totally up to you whether you’d prefer to have the bridle included or excluded 🤍
