We are shocked and saddened to hear about the passing of Andy Gray. One of Scotland's greatest performers, Andy never failed to entertain audiences in some of our most famous productions including Dario Fo's Trumpets and Raspberries in 1985-86 and Mistero Buffo in 2003.

He was always the business. RIP.

We are sad to hear of the passing of Andy Gray – a past regular at The Gaiety and with Borderline Theatre Co. In recent years his talent deservedly became recognised across Scotland and he will be greatly missed. Our thoughts are with his family and many friends.

“A bouncy online version of David F Ross’s comedy caper novel about an Ayrshire band that once had an unexpected number one hit. 4★★★★☆” Thom Dibdin, All Edinburgh Theatre

A riotous, irreverent and wickedly funny 50 minute film: created online, under lockdown.

When a young Ayrshire band miraculously hits the big time with the smash hit record of 1984, international stardom beckons. That’s despite having a delusional teenage manager propelled by a dark, malign voice in his head … Can Max Mojo’s band of talented social misfits repeat the success and pay back the mounting debts accrued from an increasingly agitated cartel of local gangsters? Or will they have to kidnap Boy George and hope for the best? This new production, written by David F Ross and based on his internationally successful novel has been created and filmed as a response to these strange times.
