WHY I DON’T HOST KARAOKE… 🎤

I get asked quite a lot if I do karaoke, so I thought I’d explain why I don’t… 😬

Firstly, I have a lot of respect for karaoke hosts and DJs. 🫶🏻 It’s not an easy job! You need to be able to work a crowd, keep the energy up, manage requests, and keep the night running smoothly.

For me, I’ve spent most of my life training professionally as a singer and performer, including gaining a degree in it. Singing & being on stage is what I love doing, and it’s what I want to focus on professionally… 🎭🎵

Also, karaoke requires different equipment and software, which I don’t currently have or want to invest in. I’ve spent a lot on my own equipment and use it specifically for my singing work. This is why you will frequently find me reluctant to give out my microphone, unless I can trust you… as it is worth a lot to me! It also has become very sentimental & personal to me. I take a lot of pride in my equipment as I had to work very hard to get it! 🌟

Most importantly, I want to continue building my reputation as a vocalist and performer. My goal is to sing at more weddings, functions, and events, and eventually release my own original music. Therefore, my full focus is on building my career as a professional singer and performer. ✨

Karaoke is great entertainment and there are some fantastic hosts out there, but it’s just not the path I want to take ❤️
