The Metal Detectives Group organise Metal Detecting digs and events in various locations around the South of England. The counties we have held digs in are Berkshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Dorset, Hampshire, Hertfordshire, Essex, Gloucestershire, Northamptonshire, Oxfordshire, Sussex, Surrey and Norfolk, with future sites in the pipeline for Suffolk, Wiltshire and more. The reason our dig
s are spread across the south is we feel it is important to explore our country's cultural hertiage and we try to visit sites that may hold a vast and interesting history. We occasionally run Saturday digs and mid-week digs too. We also run weekend detecting events for the longer distance digs, which helps give members the chance to detect a site that may be too far for just one days detecting.
