Thunder in the Glens 2025 is a Harley-Davidson rally taking place in Aviemore, Scotland, from August 22-25, 2025.
The event features entertainment, stalls, and a large ride-out through the Cairngorms on Saturday, August 23, starting
from Aviemore at 12:00 PM. It is considered Europe's largest motorcycle rally of its kind, attracting over 3,000 bikers annually.

Are you ready to hit the road?! 🌟
We’re gearing up for an epic weekend and can’t wait to see all your smiling faces! 🎉 Registration opens TOMORROW (Thursday) at 3 PM, where you can swap your online ticket for those awesome wristbands!
Remember, both the motorhome site and campsite will be open from 4 PM. 🏕️✨
Got a day ticket? We've added extra evening registration times, but we highly recommend swinging by during the day to register and soak up that electric rally atmosphere!
p.s as always a huge shoutout to our amazing Dunedin Chapter Scotland HOG #9083 volunteers who are already on site setting up and will be working throughout the weekend 🙌👐 They’re ready to help you kickstart the adventure and always bring the Thunder energy!

🏍️⚡ Thunder in the Glens 2025: Ride Safe! ⚡🏍️
As we gear up for the incredible Thunder in the Glens rally, we've taken a moment to chat to Dunedin Chapter Scotland HOG #9083 Safety Officer - Peter Mulkerrins to get advice on those all important safety checks before you hit the road.
Here's a quick run down to make sure we’re all riding safe:
🔧 Tyres: Check the pressure according to the manufacturer's specs for your model. Inspect for cuts and the depth of the tread to ensure a safe grip on the road.
🛢️ Engine: Verify your oil level according to your model’s guidelines. Remember to check the oil with the bike on the correct position (side stand or level) and whether the engine is hot or cold.
🔩 Suspension: Check both the front and rear for security and overall condition. Look out for any obvious oil leaks that could affect performance.
🔒 Luggage & Seat: Ensure that your seat and any fitted luggage are secure for a smooth ride!
🛑 Brakes: Don’t overlook your brakes! Inspect the brake lines for any fluid leaks, and check the master cylinder for the correct brake fluid level and condition—make sure it's not black!
🔋 Battery: Check the security of your battery terminals and ensure the battery itself is firmly in place.
⛽ Fuel: Before heading out, confirm that you have enough fuel for your trip and identify any fuel stations along your route. We'd always recommend fuelling up as soon as you arrive in Aviemore too.
📱 Emergency Preparedness: Make sure your mobile phone is charged for emergencies, and if possible, pack a first aid kit for any unexpected situations.
