Now that Halloween has passed and Mariah Carey has officially defrosted, it can only mean one thing — the festive season is upon us! 🎄✨

Here at The Travelling Man, we’re already hard at work preparing something truly magical to carry us into Christmas. Expect music, community spirit, and plenty of festive cheer — all the things that make this time of year so special.

What an incredible time it’s been here in Ashton-under-Lyne for Street Life 3! From the spooky sights and amazing costumes, to the laughter, singing, and dancing that filled the streets — it’s been a Halloween to remember. 👻

Here at The Travelling Man, we want to say a huge thank you to everyone who joined in the fun — the talented performers, the brilliant team behind all the activities, and of course, you, the fantastic community that brings Ashton to life every single time. 🙌

To everyone who sang along, picked up an instrument, joined The Travelling Man Collective, or stepped up for open mic — you helped keep live music alive, and that means the world to us. 🎶💫

Ashton once again showed exactly what community spirit looks like — creativity, kindness, and a shared love for good times and good music. 🧡

🕑 2–4: Live Performances from Andy and Rachel
Let Andy and Rachel cast their spell on you with enchanting melodies and haunting harmonies. Perfect for a spooky afternoon pint while the fog rolls in. 🍂

🕓 4–6: The Travelling Man Collective
This is where the fun truly comes alive! Zombies, ghosts, and humans alike are welcome to get up, sing, and jam together. It’s all about community, chaos, and a little bit of cackling! 🧙‍♀️🎶

🕕 6–10: The Travelling Man Open Mic
The witching hour begins! 🕸️ Step up to the mic, if you dare, and show the local crowd your hauntingly good talent. Whether you’re a seasoned performer or a brave newcomer, this is your moment to shine beneath the (possibly cursed) spotlight. 🌕

We opened at 4pm

Something magical happened, last week a family came in, one of us asked if their son fancied learning a Riff... to break up the singing etc.

That lad then went away having learnt James Bond theme on one string... and came back today at 4pm, 1 week later, having got an acoustic guitar, having gone away and learnt "tab" (on YouTube) and came back today knowing some chords and we jammed....

We Jammmmmed!

The Travelling Man is more than Buskers and Music. It's a little stepping-stone of community with music as a tool.

Andy Sproston singing is now smashing out some belters.
