Dancers from Blaze Street Dance Academy, based in Ashton-under-Lyne, are celebrating an outstanding achievement after representing England at their first-ever UDO World Championships.

Blaze dancers spent four days in Blackpool in August competing alongside talent from across the globe, with more than 300 teams taking part in the Championships.

The academy’s elite junior team, Limitless Juniors, secured an impressive 15th place in the world.

We also had Blaze’s youngest duo, Amariah and Phoebe, also finishing 5th in the world and earning a place among the top five in their category.

The World Championship success follows an exciting period of international competition for Blaze. After qualifying, dancers from the academy competed at the European Championships in Belgium last year, before returning to the European Championships in Germany in May this year.

🔥 SUMMER 2026… OVER & OUT! 🖤🤍

THAT’S A WRAP… WE MADE IT THROUGH A FULL 5 WEEKS OF CAMPS! 🙌

What an amazing and successful summer we’ve had at Blaze!

Over 400 children have joined us across our camps this summer! 🤯

Five weeks filled with fun, games, activities, new friendships and LOTS of amazing memories! Seeing so many children come through our doors and enjoy their summer with us has been incredible. 🥰

A huge thank you to every family who chose Blaze this summer and trusted us with your children. We’ve loved seeing so many familiar faces and welcoming lots of new ones too! 🫶

And of course, a massive shout-out to my incredible team for bringing the fun, energy and hard work every single day. Blaze camps wouldn’t be what they are without you, and I’m so grateful to you all! 🥰🫶

🏆🌎 15TH IN THE WORLD - UDO WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS 2026! 🌎🏆

Wow… what a weekend! Our first ever World Championships and we placed 15th in the world!

I honestly couldn’t be prouder of our dancers 🥹🫶

Every single one of them stepped onto that World Championship stage, gave it everything and represented Blaze and England amazingly. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿👏

You don’t just turn up at Worlds, you have to qualify! Teams have to place in the top 3 to earn their place, and we achieved that more than once! To then compete on the World Championship stage on home ground and proudly represent England is something we’ll never forget.

When people say “we’ve been to Worlds” this really is THE WORLDS! The standard is absolutely next level 🔥🤯

Competing with over 300 teams from all over the world, including countries as far away as the Philippines, really showed just how huge this event is!

We also had some amazing individual results:

Amariah & Phoebe – 5th in the world in Under 8 Duos!

Amariah, Phoebe, Luke & Faith all made it through their solo heats, with some progressing into the semi-finals!

I’m absolutely bursting with pride. What an incredible experience for all of our dancers. Had the best weekend with our blaze family! 🖤🤍🫶

Big up to UDO for putting on an amazing World Championships! 🏆🌎

And a huge thank you to Joel Tolhurst for all the hard work and support you have given us. we are so grateful and we really appreciate everything you do for us 🫶

The hard work is done. The training is complete. Now it’s time for WORLDS for the very first time!

We are incredibly proud to be representing England at the UDO World Championships 2026 in Blackpool! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

These dancers have worked so hard to get to this moment, showing incredible commitment, determination and teamwork every step of the way.

We’re missing a few of our dancers this time around due to holidays, but they’ll be back with us for Worlds 2027 🙌🖤

The team will take to the World Championship stage this Friday!

Now it’s time to believe in yourselves, enjoy every second and show everyone what you’re capable of.

Our 7–14yrs Street & Breakdance Dance classes are welcoming new dancers, and now is the perfect time to come and give Blaze a try!

Whether your child has never danced before or already has experience, our classes are designed to challenge all abilities while keeping sessions fun, energetic and exciting.

At Blaze, dancers will:
• Learn a variety of Street Dance styles
• Develop flips, tricks and acro skills

• Build confidence and performance skills
