📚 Meet the Author – Aimee Riddell

We’re delighted to welcome Aimee Riddell to Headcorn Art Show this September!

Aimee’s love of stories began in childhood, when she was often told she “read too much.” For Aimee, finishing one book quickly simply meant there was an opportunity to discover another.

From devouring Shadow of the Minotaur by Alan Gibbons to returning time and again to her much-loved Private Peaceful by Michael Morpurgo, books have always been a place of inspiration and escape.

When she wasn’t reading, Aimee was daydreaming — creating imaginary characters and stories with friends before eventually putting those ideas onto paper. Her early love of manga and anime even inspired the first novel she ever completed.

Now in her 30s, Aimee has decided it’s time to stop holding herself back and put her own stories out into the world.

Join us at Headcorn Art Show and meet Aimee, discover her writing and her books, including Bound by Loyalty, Torn by Fate and Echoes of the Wild Hunt.

The Headcorn Art Show is more than an art exhibition — it’s a weekend for our whole community to enjoy.
We warmly welcome families and children, with face painting to add a little extra colour and fun to the weekend.

🌈 There will be beautiful flowers for sale at our welcome point, and Lenny’s of Rochester will be joining us with a pop-up café, so you can relax with something delicious while enjoying the show. ☕🌸

And yes — well-behaved dogs are very welcome too! 🐾
Inside, discover an exciting collection of work from professional and emerging artists, bringing together different styles, mediums and creative voices.
Whether you’re an art collector, interior designer, art lover, curious admirer, or simply looking for a lovely day out in Headcorn, we would love you to join us.
This is a community of artists welcoming the community of Headcorn, Kent and beyond — to meet, connect, discover and celebrate creativity together. ❤️

🎨✨ MEET OUR FACE PAINTER — FLAURA & FAUNA FACES ✨🎨

We’re delighted to welcome Laura Smith from Flaura & Fauna Faces to the Headcorn Art Show, bringing some extra colour and magic for our younger visitors! 🦋🌈

Laura will be located in the reception and café area, before the entrance to the Art Show, so no Art Show entrance ticket is required to have your child’s face painted.

📅 Saturday 12th September: 11am–4pm
📅 Sunday 13th September: 11am–3pm

Even better, our café area will be home to a special pop-up from Lenny’s of Rochester, so parents can enjoy a little treat while the children have their faces transformed! ☕🍰🎨

Come along to Headcorn Village Hall and let Laura work her magic. We can’t wait to see all those colourful little faces! ❤️

Meet Ewa Page, our next artists joining us at the Headcorn Art Show this September! 🌿🎨

Ewa creates contemporary, nature-inspired work centred around trees, colour and emotional atmosphere.
Fascinated by the psychology of colour, she works mainly in acrylics, often incorporating natural materials such as sand and grit to bring wonderful texture and depth to her paintings.

We’re delighted to welcome Ewa to Headcorn and can’t wait for you to discover her work in person.

🎨 MEET THE ARTIST — ASHLEIGH FARMER | ASH’S ART

It’s fantastic to be able to exhibit such a diverse range of talent at Headcorn Art Show, and we’re delighted to welcome fabulous Kent artist Ashleigh Farmer this 12th & 13th September 2026.

Based in Maidstone, Ash creates bold, energetic work inspired by street art, humorous animals, iconic sporting moments and everyday life. Influenced by Jean-Michel Basquiat, he loves incorporating words and quotes into his pieces — creating art that makes people smile, pause and find a little inspiration.

Ash discovered his passion for creating art in 2017 after injuries meant stepping away from many of the sports he loved. His studio has since become his happy place — or, as Ash calls it, his “man-studio” — where he can switch off from the outside world and completely lose himself in creating.

Come and discover Ash’s work in person at Headcorn Art Show.

We’re delighted to welcome Don Mellerick of Cocoa Du Mell to the Headcorn Art Show, taking place on 12th & 13th September 2026 at Headcorn Village Hall.

Based in Hamstreet, Kent, Cocoa Du Mell creates beautiful artisan chocolates using high-quality couverture chocolate. Each piece is carefully melted, moulded and decorated by hand, with indulgent flavour pairings, decadent fillings and delicious inclusions.

With their striking colours and hand-painted finishes, Don’s chocolates are almost too beautiful to eat… almost! ✨🍫

We’re delighted to introduce Tim Smith@Smiffy_Irwin_Adventures, joining us at Headcorn Art Show. 📸

A passionate photographer with a love for capturing the world in all its variety, his work spans several genres, with a particular passion for wildlife, landscapes and motorsport.

He also enjoys finding different ways to present his photography, particularly printing on metal, which gives his images wonderful depth, vibrancy and impact.
From the quiet beauty of the natural world to the excitement and speed of motorsport, we’re looking forward to seeing his photography on display at Headcorn. 💛

✨ ARTIST INTRODUCTION — HEATHER CHRISTIE ✨

We’re delighted to introduce Heather Christie , joining us at Headcorn Art Show. 🎨

Based in Higham, Kent, Heather is a self-taught artist working predominantly in acrylic and pencil. Inspired by nature, travel, life experiences and the world around her, she creates landscapes, cityscapes and portraits.

Heather rediscovered her love of art in 2022 and has since turned a dream into reality. Her journey has included being featured in Vanity Fair throughout several months of 2025, exhibiting in a number of locations, and having work permanently displayed in Whitstable and Rochester.

Most recently, Heather achieved another wonderful milestone — opening her first exhibition space, where she also runs art workshops. ❤️

We’re looking forward to welcoming Heather and her work to Headcorn!

✨ ARTIST INTRODUCTION — JET SMITH | TWIG & TAIL ✨

We’re delighted to introduce Jet Smith of Twig & Tail, joining us at Headcorn Art Fair. 🎨

Originally from the north of the Netherlands and now based in Boughton Malherbe, Jet rediscovered her love of painting after the arrival of her twins.

Inspired by the beautiful Kent countryside and coastline, Jet works across watercolour, pen and acrylic, creating artwork she describes as vibrant, comforting and playful. You may even spot her other great inspiration appearing on her canvases — food! 🌿🌊🍋

We’re so pleased to welcome Jet and her colourful, joyful work to Headcorn. ❤️
