It’s a pleasure to introduce our new artist joining us in Headcorn . Please warm welcome Hella Keevil

“I am a ceramic artist working from a basement studio . I am inspired by natural surroundings , biological and geological. I am lucky to have the Ashdown Forrest close by . I love walking and get further inspiration seasonally .colours and hues ever changing. My work is primarily hand built as I love the freedom this offers . I use a variety of stoneware, choosing carefully which works for my project. I am part of “the woodland gallery “ and a member of Tunbridge Wells art society. I am a Kent potter .’

Please welcome our newest artist joining us in September 23th-14th at the Village Hall
Sheila Nash

Having travelled the world for about 30 years, followed by a career in theatre and television, upon retirement I became interested in abstract art. Once I’d acquired my own studio, I was able to produce a body of work sufficient to exhibit locally in the Tunbridge Wells area.

Along the way, I followed a BA in Fine Art at the West Kent College, which was a joyful experience, through which I’ve discovered that working intuitively - mainly in acrylic with lots of colour, collage, and plenty of textures is where my creative urges take me. Also, who’s to say whether my diverse itinerant past (eg, South America, the Middle East and Eastern Europe) or the drama and razzmatazz of theatre have sprung forth currently? All I know is I’m having a lot of fun.”

Please welcome our new artist exhibiting with us for the first time. It’s a pleasure to introduce Wayne Robert’s, you can find his work on his website www.waynerobertsonart.co.uk

Wayne Robertson has painted for almost as long as he can remember.

It was as a child, in Melbourne, Australia, and with the help of enthusiastic teachers that drawing and painting started to take hold. At age 8 Wayne had a picture exhibited in the Parliament building in Melbourne.

As an adult his love for sport, particularly golf, led Wayne into many years of painting famous (and not so famous) golf course views. He has completed many commissions and indeed still takes on commissions although nowadays he is specialising in landscapes and seascapes being very much influenced by the works of Turner, Constable and Canaletto.

Wayne’s work has reached many countries including the U.S.A, Canada, Portugal, Italy and Australia. He currently has paintings in Museums in London and Melbourne.

Looking forward to seeing Lorina Flores. joining us in September.

Lorina is a self-taught abstract painter from London . Lorina’s abstract paintings express the world through colours, movement and spontaneity.
She discovered a passion for Art and creative opportunities whilst very young at school but have never taken seriously.

During lockdown she founded her escape and happy place to go to, she could express herself and served her as a therapy.

She is on a journey of discovering herself as an artist, learning the process, growing confidence’s , sharing her imagination with you and she hope that you like it .

When she starts a painting, she works with pure colours, mixing them right on the canvas.

Please welcome back our next talent artist, a fantastic print maker Denise Ince

I am Denise Ince and I have drawn and painted all my life.
I went to Medway College of Design in Rochester, Kent for two years in1978.
I did a course in British Shop and window display (now know as visual merchandising).
At Art College, I learnt lots of different art skills, which I have used over the years in many art projects!
During the first lockdown in 2020 I created and opened an online Etsy art shop as a small business.
I now create lino prints, intaglio prints and cards inspired by my own imagination, plants, animals and places I have visited.

Very warm welcome !

Joining us in September 13th—14th at the Headcorn Village Hall.
