Helping young people to learn and grow through musical expression Da Base Music Centre's sole purpose is to provide the young people with a facility where they can grow, achieve and have fun in the process. We strongly believe that the future generation starts with the youth of today. This in mind, our goal is to contribute and help expand their skillset to enable them to achieve their full potential.

At Da Base we provide a warm, fun and friendly environment. Our staff are approachable and have a genuine interest in the lives of young people. Our team consists of individuals who have a wide range of skills which broadens the service we are able to provide the young people. This includes music production & technology, personal development & life skills, mentoring and encouraging entrepreneurship.

What an incredible finish to our summer! 🎶🎬🔥

Week Two of our Music Club project is officially wrapped, and it was double the size and double the fun! After kicking off with 5 amazing young people in Week 1, we jumped to 10 young creatives for Week 2!

In just four short days, this group took things to the next level by:

* ✍️ Writing original lyrics 
* 🎙️ Recording their own vocals 
* 🎛️ Diving into music production 
* 🎬 Planning, filming, and starring in TWO full music videos 
* 🗣️ Wrapping up with a Youth Council scenario meeting to share their ideas and voice what matters to them! 
Seeing these young people step out of their comfort zones, collaborate, and accomplish so much in under a week has been truly inspiring. 👏✨

A massive thank you again to Great Chart Parish Council for funding this project and making a real difference. Big shoutout as well to Annie, Catherine, Lee, Nathaniel, and the entire team for working their magic all week!

What a week! 🎵🔥

Week one of our summer Music Club project with Aniko Szocs was an absolute blast. In just four days, our incredible group of young people managed to:

* ✍️ Write original lyrics 
* 🎙️ Record their vocals 
* 🎬 Plan their music video 
* 📹 Film the entire music video from scratch 
To pull all of that off in four days is a massive achievement and every single participant should be incredibly proud of what they created! 👏

A huge thank you to Aniko Szocs for funding this project and helping us bring a creative, fun and empowering space to these young people. Shoutout as well to Annie, Catherine, Lee Gaynor, and the Da Base Team for making week one run so smoothly! 🙌

🎓 THAT’S A WRAP ON TERM 6! 🎉

Term 6 of this academic year is officially finished, and what a truly fantastic year it has been!

We closed out the year on the ultimate high note with our Da Base Awards Show last Saturday, and it was nothing short of amazing. The talent, dedication, and effort displayed by all our young people were absolutely spectacular. Seeing their hard work celebrated on stage made every single moment worth it! 🌟🎤

It was an absolute privilege to pick his brain, dive deep into his experiences and gain some invaluable insights into the music industry. Our students are walking away incredibly inspired! ✨

We are incredibly excited to launch a BRAND-NEW, 6-week creative project funded by

da BASE ENGAGE offers fully funded, free spaces designed specifically to give creative opportunities to young people who might not otherwise have access to music and video production. If you want to drop your own tracks, learn music production, learn how to shoot and edit video, or start a podcast, this is your moment!

No experience or expensive gear needed—we provide it all. 🙌

🎬 Term 5 is officially WRAPPED! 🎬
And wow, what an absolutely incredible term it has been at Da Base! 🙌 Our amazing young people are now putting the final touches on their projects and we could not be prouder of the hard work and creativity they’ve poured into everything.

Looking ahead, Term 6 is going to be absolutely massive. It’s officially Award Show Season! 🏆✨
We’ll be switching gears to focus on prepping for the big day, alongside filming brand-new music videos for everyone. It is going to be incredibly busy, but we are so ready for it!
