Kent Music is a registered education charity and proud lead partner for the Music Hub Kent & Medway from September 2024. We deliver inspiring instrumental and vocal teaching, ensemble classes and courses, music labs, county orchestras and choirs and the historic Kent Music Summer School for thousands of eager young musicians throughout the county, all year round! From supporting young orchestral m

usicians to fostering new bands and providing creative spaces for young electronic musicians to experiment, we support music making in all its forms. We are funded by Arts Council England and supported by Kent County Council.

It’s the start of Mental Health Awareness Week 💚

This year’s theme is Take Action. We love the reminder that while sometimes 'taking action' looks big, small things still count!

Sometimes it’s:
🎵 putting music on while you make dinner
🎤 turning up to choir even when you nearly stayed home
🎹 practising for five minutes instead of none
💬 checking in on a friend
☀️ getting outside with your headphones on and a favourite bop playing

Music won’t magically solve everything. But it can help us connect, express ourselves, feel part of something, and take a breath for a bit.

So this week, what’s one small thing that helps you feel a bit more like yourself? 👀
