πŸŽ’ Is it that time already?! A new school year is upon us!

We hope you've had a fantastic summer and are feeling refreshed and ready for another year of music-making. ✨

We’re excited to kick off the new school year and all the opportunities it brings. From ensembles and lessons to exciting projects and performances, there’s plenty to look forward to in the months ahead.

So, dust off those instruments, warm up those voices and straighten that slightly crumpled sheet music. It's time to make some music! 🎢

🎢 This summer at Kent Music Summer School, our Wind Courses came together as a choir to perform Something Heavy by Jacob Collier.

Something Heavy was written especially for the BBC's Get Singing resource, which encourages young people to sing more!

Singing is a fantastic way to build confidence and support wellbeing, and programmes like Get Singing help more young people experience those benefits.

🎡 It's International Strange Music Day! 🎡

Today is all about celebrating the unexpected, the unconventional and the wonderfully weird sounds that make music so unique. Whether it's an unusual instrument, an experimental track, or a genre you've never heard before, today is the perfect excuse to step outside your musical comfort zone.

What will you be listening to today? πŸ‘€πŸŽΆ

We LOVE a dramatic ending... and that's exactly what Tchaikovsky's Symphony No.1 delivers! 🎻✨

The Kent County Youth Orchestra (KCYO) did a stellar job performing it at Summer School!

If you're ready to challenge yourself musically and be part of a County Group like KCYO, why not audition in September?

To everyone collecting their results, good luck! πŸ€

Regardless of how you do, you should be proud of all the hard work it's taken to get to this point. Take a moment to celebrate how far you've come and everything you've achieved along the way!

Here's to the next chapter. Whatever your plans, we hope music is part of the journey!🎡
