🌼Beannachtaí na Bealtaine oraibh go léir🌼

Bealtaine is the name for the month of May in Irish, and also the name for the summer season which begins today on 1st May.

Traditionally straw dolls, or Babógs, would be dressed in white cloth, ribbons and flowers and brought from door to door by young girls singing, "Thugamar féin an Samradh linn" "We have brought the Summer with us"
