Fèis na Mara returns to Arisaig this October with a huge weekend of live music. This year’s line-up brings together a brilliant mix of trad, electro, punk-folk energy... ceilidh, craic and late-night dancefloor magic, featuring:

Peatbog Faeries
LUSA
The Poozies
Face The West
Cù Glas
The Fancy Pants Dance Band (Sat family-friendly all-star ceilidh)
DJ Euan McLaughlin (Euan McLaughlin Music/Valtos/Shooglenifty/An Dannsa Dub)

Expect powerful tunes, big party energy, the best bunch of festival-goers, a Saturday family-friendly all-star ceilidh, tasty food and joyful sessions at Arisaig Hotel & Bunkhouse throughout the weekend (and especially the infamous Sunday Sesh-na-Mara-thon - book Monday off work NOW!)

Sound Bites are also open all weekend, serving soup of the day (Bloody Marys) with a side of sarcasm, and other delicious post-sesh scran. At this stage they are also stallwarts of keeping our bar running.

GIG CANCELLED
Very sorry to say this gig has had to be cancelled due to injury. From Laura:

I’m really sorry and devastated to have to say that I’ve suffered a playing injury in my left hand. Which makes my fingers unable to move with the finer motor dexterity that I work hard on (and depended upon) to deliver my shows.

(For all you anatomy nerds: the ulnar nerve and median nerve are damaged, making it hard for me to play properly.)

Despite a huge committed effort to ‘get through’ the physical challenges and play these shows, after rehearsing with Ian, consulting with my physiotherapist and GP, it’s become clear that it is not going to be possible to deliver these performances as planned.
