Triple Act Theatre and Arts Triple Act Theatre & Arts is a participatory arts organisation, encouraging participation in theatrical and cultural opportunities throughout North Ayrshire.

Founded in 2015, Triple Act Theatre & Arts has focused on creating quality theatre experiences for audiences and creative outreach experiences for young people and adults in a region of Scotland with historically low arts participation.

✨ Terrifying Tales from the Three Towns marked a big moment for Triple Act — our first project back after a year of pause, bringing young people from across North Ayrshire together for a week of imagination, collaboration and confidence-building. 💭🎭

This October, Triple Act Theatre & Arts brought North Ayrshire’s young people centre-stage through a week of inclusive drama workshops inspired by Terrifying Tales from the Three Towns. 👻

Across five days of devising, storytelling, and performance, participants created original spooky stories — from haunted churches to K-Pop Demon Hunters — building confidence, teamwork, and creative expression along the way.

Supported by Tesco Stronger Starts, with free lunches provided by North Ayrshire Foodbank (67 meals in total), the project celebrated creativity, community, and inclusion.

Parents described the week as:

💬 “Brilliantly organised and full of enthusiasm.”

💬 “A great thing for children to attend and learn from.”

💬 “Very inclusive.”

Huge thanks to everyone who made this possible — from families and young people to our community partners and supporters. Triple Act is now reflecting on next steps – building on the momentum of this week to continue offering accessible creative-learning opportunities across North Ayrshire.

🌟 A Huge Thank You to Our Trustees! 🌟

With our October workshops now in full swing, we want to take a moment to shine a light on the amazing people working hard behind the scenes – our Board of Trustees. 🙌

Without their dedication, guidance, and support, projects like Terrifying Tales from the Three Towns simply wouldn’t be possible. They help keep Triple Act Theatre & Arts strong, sustainable, and ready to bring drama and storytelling to our local communities. 🎭✨

👉 We’re also looking to welcome new trustees to join our team. If you’re passionate about the arts, young people, and community, and want to play a part in shaping Triple Act’s future, we’d love to hear from you! Previous board experience is welcome but not essential.

We’re always keen to share opportunities that can inspire local young people and their families. Our friends at Fair Access at RCS and the Harbour Arts Centre are running Creative Gateways North Ayrshire this month – a brilliant way to explore future pathways in the creative industries.
