NAE Drama

NAE Drama NAE Drama is an amateur, adult, community drama group. We are based in Ardrossan Library, North Ayrshire. Tuesday nights from 7-9pm (during term time).

New members are welcome. First two classes are free. £10 annual membership and £40 for 10 class term.

Meet the speakers: Joe Douglas for Vertex
Joe Douglas is a director, writer, creative producer, dramaturg and occasional performer. He was the Chair of Theatre Directors Scotland, and He was Artistic Director at Live Theatre in Newcastle upon Tyne (2018-20), Associate Artistic Director at Dundee Rep (2016-17) and Trainee Director at the National Theatre of Scotland (2007-8). Recently he led the Nae Drama production about HMS Dasher in Ardrossan (Dasher - Never Told).
He is coming along on Saturday to share the story of Vertex, a team who bring a range of magical cultural events to the Village. Vertex began in 2017 and it is supported by an array of funding sources. It is an organisation run by local volunteers. It aims to strengthen community engagement as well as promote and encourage interest in cultural activity through devising and promoting a wide selection of cultural events, including arts events, talks, exhibitions, and workshops.
