Handcrafted by Dermot McIlroy in Antrim, Northern Ireland, the A22-5 is a small jumbo body guitar with walnut back and sides, and a Western red cedar top. It has the McIlroy standard 5-piece neck, a pinless ebony bridge, and paua abalone in the rosette. Maple body binding with wood purflings.

Another supplier bites the dust.
The supplier of our wonderful Val di fiemme / moon spruce has ceased business after more than 50 years of supplying spruce from the same area that Stradivarius obtained his wood.
We bought as many tops as we could, but once they're gone, they're gone.
Our 16, 26, 36, up to 96 range of instruments are very special, with a clarity unlike any other. We will be sad when this material in expended.

The one on the left is while the one on the right is . You can see why they call laurelwood "oriental walnut" even though they're not related.
Sadly, this is the last laurelwood we'll likely ever make.
