For the first time ever, I’ve decided to sell one of my recently completed crocheted blankets. The original pattern is called Persian Tiles by Janie Crow and is 16 octagons….however, this one has a whopping 42 and took me a couple of years to make and I would estimate at least 6-700 hours!!! Shown here on a double bed and made with acrylic and cotton yarn, so washes in a machine easily without shrinking.
I’m only parting with it as the colours don’t fit with my decor.
(Cost of yarn alone, without the hundreds of hours work, was well over £100)

My latest blanket make can now be revealed a it’s been gifted to a special friend for her 60th … based on this palette using the Mood Boards app and the Crochet Studio app to arrange the stripe order.
Mavis approves too 😻.

Latest crochet blanket - Fall Into Autumn by Alice Tarry (with altered border) - a free pattern on the hobbycraft website. Even as a competent crocheter this presented a few challenges but I’m pleased with it now it’s done.
What have you made that was a challenge?
