As we head into the final day of The Addams Family Musical, we just want to take a moment to say one thing…

WOW. Just WOW. ❤️

What this incredible BVP Youth team has achieved this weekend has been nothing short of brilliant.

To our phenomenal performers — thank you for your talent, energy, commitment, bravery and for throwing yourselves wholeheartedly into every moment on stage. You have been absolutely outstanding and we couldn’t be more proud! 🌟

To our amazing Director Amy and Co-Director Sarah— what you have created is something so special. Your hard work, vision, patience and belief in these young people has shone through in every single performance 🖤

To our incredible tech team, thank you for making the magic happen — every cue, spotlight, sound effect and moment of atmosphere that helps bring this spooky world to life 🎭✨

To our costume queen Jo 👑 — thank you for helping our cast look the part and feel amazing every time they step on stage. You are utterly brilliant!

To our wonderful backstage crew and front of house team — thank you for everything you do, often unseen, to keep things running smoothly with smiles on your faces.

At Burdock Valley Players, our youth group are such an important part of the BVP family ❤️

And sometimes… they don’t just take part in the magic — they help create it 🖤✨

At just 14 years old, Amy has taken on the huge role of Director for The Addams Family Musical — and honestly, we couldn’t be prouder 🌟🎭

BVP has always been a big part of Amy’s life. Whether performing on stage, working behind the scenes in tech, or helping bring productions to life in so many different ways, she has been a huge part of our theatre family for years.

Theatre really does run in the family too! Amy’s brother is part of the cast, playing Wednesday’s love interest, Lucas, while her mum — our wonderful Chairperson — is one of the many people working hard behind the scenes to make the magic happen ❤️

Taking on a directing role at any age is impressive, but doing it at 14? That takes talent, commitment, confidence, and a lot of hard work — and Amy has absolutely thrown herself into it. We’re incredibly proud of everything she has achieved, and we know you’ll see her hard work shining through on stage next weekend 🖤

At Burdock Valley Players, our youth group are such an important part of the BVP family ❤️

Every BVP journey starts somewhere — and this year, we’ve been so lucky to welcome Emily to our youth family 🖤

Taking to the stage in her very first show with us, Emily is part of the spooky and spectacular Ancestors ensemble in The Addams Family Musical 🎭✨

Although she’s new to BVP, Emily already feels like part of the family, and it’s been lovely to see her throw herself into rehearsals, make new friendships, and become part of the magic that makes our youth group so special 🌟

We’re so excited to watch Emily continue to grow in confidence and develop as a performer — and we know this is only the beginning!

At Burdock Valley Players, our youth group are such an important part of the BVP family ❤️

For some of our young performers, the journey starts long before they ever step on stage — and Effy’s story is one we absolutely love 🖤

A few years ago, Effy sat in the audience watching The Little Mermaid and knew she wanted to be part of the magic of BVP ✨ As soon as she was old enough, she auditioned for The Grinch, joining the show as ensemble and even playing Rudolph! 🎭

Since then, we’ve loved watching Effy grow in confidence, develop as a performer, and truly find her place on stage 🌟

This year, Effy takes on the role of Fester in The Addams Family Musical — not the role she originally auditioned for, but honestly… we think it suits her perfectly! As the wonderfully quirky narrator of the show, Fester feels like a very fitting match for Effy’s personality 💡🖤
