Hi guys, welcome to 2022 with the Theatre on the Hill! I’m Amie from the work experience team at TOTH and writing to you for a catch up on the winter season with the performing arts department. Been a long time hasn’t it? Sorry about that, we’ve had a busy season both backstage, performing and the like. But we’re back now, with loads to come. However don’t worry about that for now, let’s see what the performing arts department has been up to…
The second year acting students performed ‘The Greatest Depths’ which was a two act show, half ‘The Lower Depths’ and half ‘The Greatest Gift’. With a journey into Russia 1902 then moving forward to America 1943, the performance was brought to life by director Irene Rambota.
We then saw ‘The Winter Showcase’ on stage by the performing arts department: a combination of musical numbers, dance pieces, acting segments, and singing, all tied together by the MCs. With the creative team of the TOTH leading the production, it was a fantastic way to celebrate the talent of the students.
Ending the year with a bang, we had the Level 2 performing arts students perform ‘The Christmas Crisis’. It was a high spirited production directed by Zara Milton with lots of fun and some badly behaved reindeers…
And that’s a wrap on the festivities with Theatre on the Hill for 2021! We hope that you managed to join us, and if not, don’t worry, as there’s plenty more in the upcoming year. Stay tuned for that!
Wishing you all a wonderful new year, stay safe, and we hope to see you all again in our theatre soon!
Amie
