We are delighted to have replaced our projector and screen with this super duper 85 inch tv. We used it with our previous Art Talk with Emma Anderson. Susan who attended the talk said,

"Because of the new tv at Oyez Arts you could see every detail on the oil painting probably better than you'd be able to in an Art Gallery because the screen was massive."
So should we open the bar and show some England matches?

🎭 I Am Bastard I Am War - Meet the creative team and cast.

📍 In The Chamber, Altrincham Town Hall
📅 One Night Only – 20 June

Part of the Altrincham Storytelling festival

“The drums are beating, and the masters are meeting...”

It is another day in the meeting room.
But this meeting is no ordinary one.

A Father leaves knowing what he cannot bear to say.
A Mother pleads against what cannot be stopped.
A Son dreams of a glory claimed by more than one story.
A Leader calmly discusses the next move.

None of them stands apart from what is coming.

Each, in their own way, has accepted it, followed it, or chosen the path that leads to it.

Tense, lyrical and deeply human, I Am Bastard I Am War asks difficult questions about responsibility, obedience and the stories we tell ourselves.

“I wrote this piece in reflection for all of humanity. The main character is you, me — it is everyone.”
— Alan Forrest Smith

Adapted for the stage and directed by Nigel Harvey.

Leading the cast are:

✨ Alexander Potter — The Son
✨ Karl Greenwood — The Father
✨ James Ross Turner — The Narrator
✨ Toby Rothwell — The Priest
