Following last year's successful collaboration between Alston Moor Film and Alston Live Festival when the Bob Dylan biopic 'A Complete Unknown was screened at Alston Town Hall, we've got together again ahead of this year's music festival.

We're hoping you'll help us decide which music related movie that will be shown on Wednesday, 8th July. Please vote for one of the films on our short list below. If you are on the Alston Moor Film mailing list and / or you're coming along to 'Dragonfly' this coming Wednesday, you'll also get a chance to vote there.

The film with the most votes will be announced in around 7 days from now......

Alston Moor Film presents Brenda Blethyn in
DRAGONFLY

Alston Town Hall. Tickets £7.50 on the door

Neglected pensioner Elsie forms an unexpected bond with her younger neighbour Colleen. As the two women grow closer, their friendship becomes a rare source of warmth and connection in Elsie's isolated life.

However, the arrival of Elsie's resentful and
guilt-ridden son (Jason Watkins) disrupts this fragile equilibrium.

Powered by fearless performances and Hitchcockian psychological dread, Dragonfly offers a devastating and unforgettable meditation on isolation, elder care, and the fragile bonds of community.
