We are at Bamburgh Pavilion NE69 7DB on Thursday 25th June and Chatton Village Hall NE66 5PX on Sunday 28th June and we would love you to join us and learn about the inspirations, life experiences and techniques involved in the design and making of a completely delicious ,eclectic, carefully curated selection of unique work by makers from North East England and the Scottish Borders. Rachel Meehan, pictures & words
Rachel works in traditional printmaking and scraper board techniques to produce a range of colourful unique artworks as well as cards, prints,kitchen linens and silk scarves. Inspiration comes from her garden in the Scottish Borders and a love of exotic birds.

Margaret Woodliff Wright Millinery
Margaret is a couture milliner, each hat, headpiece or accessory that she creates has been lovingly and painstakingly made using classic handcrafted millinery techniques. Heavily influenced by colours, textures, fabric and her historical and contemporary fashion researches she has an eclectic millinery style with a special interest in recycling and sustainability.

Jane Harbottle Artist
Jane is a highly acclaimed wildlife artist working from her garden studio surrounded by the stunning countryside of North Northumberland which is a constant source of inspiration for her paintings.
Jane grew up in Australia near Perth in a small coastal village and it was here her love, respect and amazement of the natural world was initiated and has been constantly expanding ever since. Jane returned to the UK in the 70s and became a full time professional wildlife artist in 1987

Introducing the next 4 creatives into the
💥CHATTON VILLAGE HALL MIX NE66 5PX 💥

Charred Wood
Charred Wood is a small UK family business based in Northumberland. Pyro artist Chris Ewing sources hardwoods from the Scottish Borders and hand burns designs inspired by nature and wildlife to create unique and striking wall art. He uses pyrography pens and blowtorches to make each piece using the character and grain of the wood as a backdrop.

Back From The Beach (sea glass jewellery)
Lynne incorporates sea glass with traditional silver smith techniques. Her inspiration comes from her passion for the ocean and the beaches around her home in South East Scotland where each piece of sea glass has been carefully sourced by Lynne for its individual beauty and then paired with her unique designs to become a happy reminder of days on the beach .

Chris from White Oak Photography
Chris enjoys exploring people’s relationships with the rural landscape and incorporates the science of natural history alongside the romance of folklore into her art work.
She fuses traditional, slow photography with modern digital methods, producing work which is both representational and expressively tactile.

Flight Weaving
Janis Embleton is a hand-weaver, textile artist and weaving tutor from Scotland working from her studio near Duns where she runs weaving workshops and makes bespoke artisan textiles and fabric commissions. Janis hand weaves using the many looms that she has collected over the years including her beloved vintage Swedish Ulla Cyrus Countermarch; Ashford, Dryad and Louet table looms for teaching.

Fiona is an accomplished artist working in the medium of paper, specialising in paper flowers and foliage.

The Pure Candle Company
Nicky makes her 100% soy wax hand poured candles in her Northumberland Studio using only the very best ethically sourced , vegan friendly, cruelty free soy wax and fragrances

Print Dye Stitch
Olive dyes all her own fabrics, many of which are upcycled. She particularly enjoys the serendipity of natural dyes and eco printing and uses fabrics to create unique items many of which are hand embroidered using her skills as a colourist and designer.

Jane Harbottle Artist

Jane works in the traditional methods of hot glass. Jane studied ceramics at art college in the late 70s and quickly discovered her passion for studio glass. In 1987 Jane Charles Studio Glass was born and she works from her studio in Newcastle producing a range of bottles, bowls, paperweights, vases and sculptural forms . Jane’s inspiration comes from the colours, textures and forms of nature and her work is in private and public collections around the world.

Meraki Cacao
Vicky is the founder of Meraki Cacao. She loves chocolate but believes that what we eat should nourish our bodies so set about creating her own healthier treat.
Vicky wanted to make a ‘raw’ chocolate dense in nutrients and refined sugar free. ‘Raw’ means that she uses unroasted cacao nibs and raw cacao butter. The inspiration comes from a love of travel and through these adventures and experiences her flavours were born
Turn to Touch
Peter is a wood turner who uses his exquisite craftsmanship to make furniture, lamps and boxes. All his work is handcrafted making each piece totally unique due to the nature of the wood
Diane Stewardson Jewellery
Diane makes a range of contemporary sterling silver and contrasting metal jewellery based on geometric shapes and movement. Her work is handmade in Northumberland

More exciting news for all you 😍NAM FANS 😍 out there. Not only do we have a fabulous line up of 18 artisans at Bamburgh Pavilion NE69 7DB on Thursday 25th June we are also visiting the equally beautiful Chatton Village Hall NE66 5PX on Sunday 28th June.
Come and meet 13 artisans and learn about their skills and inspiration . On show will be wildlife art, studio glass, seaglass jewellery, brass and copper artwork and home wares, graphic art, textiles, ceramics, candles, paper flower art, pyrography, flight weaving , millinery and photographic art. Time for some more tantalising introductions and 4 more reasons why you simply must come and experience the ✨NAMBIANCE ✨at a new to NAM venue. On Thursday 25th June 18 creatives will be lighting up Bamburgh Pavilion NE69 7DB
Print Dye Stitch
Olive prints and dyes all her own fabrics, many of which are upcycled. She particularly enjoys the serendipity of natural dyes and Eco printing. Olive uses these fabrics to create unique items many of which are hand embroidered using her skills as a colourist and designer .
Essence of Health
Lisa offers a range of organic eco-friendly products to include organic essential oil soaps, shampoo & conditioner bars, lip balms, shaving soaps, beard oils, body butters and dog shampoos. Essence of Health uses only the very best top quality organic ingredients because as a company Essence of Health cares about the environment and so the slogan depicts this ethos “Protect You, Protect Our Environment”.
Ebony Banjo Works
Mark works from his studio in Bedlington producing a range of custom made chopping boards cheese boards and wooden toys
Marian Mather Ceramics
Marian is a doctor turned potter working from her garden studio in Rothbury Northumberland. Nature is her inspiration.

‼️THE NORTHERN ARTISANS’ MARKETS HAS A NEW VENUE ‼️so let us continue our introductions to the next 4 creatives coming to Bamburgh Pavilion on Thursday 25th June
Rachel Meehan, pictures & words
Rachel trained as a fine art printmaker completing her postgraduate studies at Glasgow School of Art. She now works from her studio in the Scottish Borders. Inspiration comes from the colours of nature , her garden and exotic birds
Working with both traditional printmaking processes like lino cuts and drypoint etchings she also uses scraperboard for much of her creative practice.
Leggy Bird Creative
Mel creates whimsical and quirky sculptures, playful picutres and one of a kind wearable art using the delicate and inctricate art of quilling. Her work is all about embracing bold, bright colours and transforming them into joyful pieces that spark happiness and curiosity
Margaret Woodliff Wright Millinery

Heavily influenced by colours, textures, fabric and her historical and contemporary fashion researches, Margaret, The Northumberland Milliner, has an eclectic millinery style with a special interest in recycling and sustainability.
Biteabout Arts
Anna did a fine art degree at Camberwell School of Arts and Crafts and then returned home to Northumberland to work as a photographic artist and silversmith. In 2005 Anna started experimenting with the processes of felt making and in 2008 she was introduced to the traditional techniques of willow art allowing her to create vessels and sculptural forms
In 2011 Biteabout Arts was formed with the intention of creating unique items combining all of her life skills and delivering a variety of art and craft workshops
