At Stardust Hilcote, our Beginner class covers a range of levels – from Absolute Beginner through to High Beginner – giving you the chance to build your confidence, learn new dances and gradually take on a little more as you progress.

There's always a warm welcome, a friendly atmosphere and plenty of encouragement along the way. 💙🧡

⭐ A Special Thank You to Dawn! ⭐

During our 100 Dances in June Challenge, our Stardust dancers got behind us to help raise funds for P.O.S.T. (People of Somercotes Together) — and together we raised a fantastic £424! 💙🤠

But one person deserved a very special mention...

👏 Dawn raised an incredible £100 towards that total! 👏

We couldn't let such a fantastic achievement go unrecognised, so we were delighted to present Dawn with a Special Acknowledgement for her amazing fundraising efforts. 🏆✨

Dawn, thank you so much for getting behind our challenge and for all the effort you put into raising such a brilliant amount. £100 from one person is absolutely fantastic!

⭐ New Dances We Learned in August ⭐

August has certainly kept us busy! We set ourselves a little challenge to introduce four new dances during the month... and somehow we ended up with five! 🤠💃

💙 Boot Scootin' Boogie
💙 Dolly Power

It's been a lovely mix too – from newer dances and different styles to a real line dancing classic with Boot Scootin' Boogie, plus our very own Dolly Power to finish the month! 🎶✨

A huge well done to everyone who has learnt them. 👏 Whether you picked them up straight away or needed a few goes before everything fell into place, you've worked hard, kept smiling and added another five dances to your Stardust repertoire. 💙

And, of course, we'll keep bringing these dances back so there's plenty of opportunity to practise and enjoy them again. 🤠

💙 A little reminder for our Codnor dancers 💙

There will be no class this Tuesday, 1st September, as it is my mum’s funeral that day.

We’ll be back as normal the following week, Tuesday 8th September. 🤠💙

Following the very sad news of Dolly Parton's passing this week, it felt only right that we did something to honour her and the wonderful music she has given us over the years. 🎶❤️

We introduced Dolly Power across some of our classes this week and our dancers did a fabulous job learning it. 💙🧡

A little Stardust tribute to a true country music legend whose songs have brought so much joy to so many dance floors.

⭐ Well Done, Hilcote! ⭐

What a brilliant evening with our Thursday dancers! 💙🤠

Hilcote is such a wonderfully progressive group — you're always willing to have a go, whether it's something familiar, something we've only recently learnt or something completely new. And tonight was certainly no exception! 👏✨

We also had a very special moment during tonight's class, when we recognised Dawn Wilkinson for raising the highest individual amount during our 100 Dances in June Challenge. 🌟

Dawn made a fantastic contribution towards the amazing £424 raised for P.O.S.T., so we presented her with a little something to say a very big THANK YOU and WELL DONE! 💙🧡

Two new dances amongst all of that too! Dolly Power made its Stardust debut this week, while Boot Scootin' Boogie took us back to a proper line dancing classic. You tackled both brilliantly! 🌟

One of the things I love about Hilcote is that you'll give just about anything a go. From Absolute Beginner dances through to those that challenge you that little bit more, you get stuck in, support one another and keep on dancing — and that's exactly how confidence grows. 💙

A big thank you as well to my fabulous Stardust Dance Assistants, Lynda and Tracey, for all their help. 🧡

And thank you to everyone who came along. It was a lovely way to finish our dancing week — plenty of music, laughter and some fabulous dancing along the way.

And this time, we went back to a real line dancing classic...

⭐ Boot Scootin' Boogie ⭐

A 32 count, 4 wall Beginner dance with that proper country feel — and one that's been around for many years but is still being danced today! 🎶👢

It was great fun introducing this one into our classes this week and adding another classic to our Stardust dance list.

A huge well done to everyone who learnt it — lots of smiles, plenty of boot scootin' and some fabulous dancing! 💙🧡

Sometimes the old ones really are the good ones! 🤠⭐
