I Have been luck enough to book some amazing large scale pieces in the last few months! First up was this wonderful Phoenix back piece! I loved the flowing tail and how the wings flow up over the shoulders! -and how it has a kind of flame feel with out any actual fire in the design!

…. And here is my submission to the New Hope Tattoo big draw off drawing game! -this time we got the prompt word ‘mermaid’ and this is what I came up with!!

I came up with a a bit of a fun story behind this one! … of a mermaid dragging a sailor to the depth because she wanted someone to dance with, who obviously dies… but she carries on dancing with him till the body eventually becomes a skeleton and falls apart… at which point she goes and gets another hapless sailor… (I was thinking about writing a little short story for it but absolutely ran out of time! …maybe next time!

You might remember back in January I drew a pencil sketch of a very sad looking doll sewing up a heart, well I had a client who loved the doll, but wanted her and little happier! So I had a bit of a redraw and added some details and refined a little (I do love pencil drawing but bloody hell its so much easier on an iPad 😂) and this is what I came up with!

I thought this was a really good example of what someone can do if they’ve seen a bit of flash that they’d like, but wanted it changed up a bit!

So after posting a few clips from the My Chemical Romance show on Saturday, I had more than a few people messaging saying I should do some mcr flash… and still buzzing from it, I just couldn’t say no! Hope you guys like them! 😊

I really love the contrast of the red blood in the background against the dark, black and grey (it feels very MCR!)

I thought I’d go for something a little more gentle this week! I love how the clouds and details in the dress keep the design a bit more soft and delicate! 😊

New design available!! 🦋 Butterflies are something that we tattoo all the time, but in 15 years I’ve never done them at this sort of large scale! -With the soft flowing floral between I love the flow lf them, and how doing it this size we can capture all the beautiful Little details on their wings! I love how quite a simple idea can look this dramatic on a large scale!

This concept of the large butterflies can be changed to go on any area (might do a quick mock up of work on a thigh as well at some point!) and I’d absolutely love to see a design like this come to life! Carrying on with a large scale designs this week with this skeleton and sword design! (Absolutely love the concept for this one! 😊)

I’ve done a few designs with a hip/thigh placement in mind recently, so I decided to shake it up a bit and draw something with the idea of it going of an outer arm! (as always however this can absolutely be tweaked to meet want to go in any other area if anyone would like it or something similar in a different place! 😊

New ‘Moth and flame’ design available! Still having fun experimenting with the larger concepts, I love how this Gothic lamp and huge detailed moths could look! I’m especially pleased with the way the negative smoke in the background brings everything together and makes it fit in the area!

Really enjoying working in these pieces… any requests for designs to draw next week?!

This piece is available to be tattooed! -ideally I’d love to do it in the placement and size I’ve shown here, but can be changed around and tweaked to go a bit smaller in any other areas if like!
