Aldeburgh Jubilee Hall Aldeburgh Jubilee Hall was built in 1887 to celebrate Queen Victoria's Golden Jubilee. Aldeburgh Music stages some of the Aldeburgh Festival events in the Hall.

A place for performance, entertainment and the creative arts, nestling in the heart of the seaside town of Aldeburgh in Suffolk. �� Serving the local community since 1887. The Hall was the principal venue for performances organised by Benjamin Britten and Peter Pears in the early years of the Aldeburgh Festival, from 1948 until 1967 when the concert hall at Snape Maltings was built. Today it is th

e home of Jubilee Opera and visiting theatre companies perform here regularly. It is also the ideal venue for concerts, variety shows and the annual Aldeburgh Craft Fair, held over the May Day bank holiday weekend.

🐉 What a night! Jabberwocky swept into Jubilee Hall yesterday and was an absolute triumph.

Huge congratulations to Nick Fowler and Ben Ponniah and the fantastic young cast for bringing something so fresh, inventive and utterly joyful to our stage.

We loved every gloriously nonsensical minute. 👏🎭

The kettle’s on and Cuppa & Company is back!

Our free community mornings return to Aldeburgh Jubilee Hall this autumn, starting Tuesday 8th September, 10am to 12pm.

Come along for a hot drink and biscuits, a game of table tennis, some friendly competition over board games or simply a good chat. Bring a friend, come on your own and make new ones. Everyone is welcome and there’s no need to book, just drop in.

Here’s another newly restored photograph, this one from a fancy dress dance in the Hall in 1920, sharpened and brought back to life using AI. This it’s a timely reminder that preserving our past is not only about looking back but ensuring treasured memories remain accessible for future generations.
