Today, on Armed Forces Day, we celebrate the people who serve and have served across the Royal Navy, British Army and Royal Air Force.
As members of the RAF Cosford Voluntary Band, we are proud to support the Armed Forces community through music, representing the RAF at events across the country.
Thank you to all who serve, have served, and continue to support our Armed Forces.

The band are back from National Memorial Arboretum: a great day providing background music; ceremonial music, including the last post and rouse played by Dr Ruth; and afternoon entertainment for the picnic. All part of Fighting with Pride LGBTQ+ Community Dedication Event.

The band are taking a well earned break for a few weeks, before we hit the band room again to prep for future engagements.

We were back in the band room last night, putting the finishing touch to some pieces ready for our performance at National Memorial Arboretum Staffordshire supporting Fighting with Pride at the LGBT+ Armed Forces Community Memorial Dedication Event during

The band will be supporting with more formal music for the memorial event, and providing some light entertainment for guests as they enjoy their picnics.

An epic day of afterburners and earworms, 'Phoons and tunes!

The band have had a great day, playing 7 sets throughout the day at RAF Cosford Air Show (Official) flying the flag for RAF Cosford Voluntary Band and Royal Air Force Cosford.

We hope those that stopped by to listen enjoyed the variety of music we were able to provide.

For those heading to RAF Cosford Air Show 2026 today, here's the RAF Cosford Voluntary Band "flight times".

We've music for all ages, military classics, movie tunes, and good old-fashioned fun.

You'll find us in the big marquee by the Catalina, Vintage Cars and the Bar

Bring your chair, and witness history as we attempt the impossible: playing music loud enough to be noticed while jets casually punch holes in the sky. It’s the showdown nobody asked for, but we’re committed!

Join us at 1645 on Sunday at RAF Cosford Voluntary Band performing at Cosford Air Show 2026 as we play some of our favourites from across the day to bring our performance to a close.

You’re destined to go home with a Spanish Flea in your ear after this one (assuming the ’phoons have spared your hearing).

It’s the perfect finale to a day of music, mayhem and magnificent men.
