Our Drawing Skills class is perfect for young people who love to draw and want to take their skills further in a fun, supportive and creative environment.

✨ MONDAY NIGHT FUN! ✨

What a lovely night we had at our Monday classes! 💛 There was lots of creativity, plenty of learning and, of course, lots of fun! 🎨📚🧵📸

🎨 Arts & Crafts
We went back to basics with still life for the first time in a while! The kids had a toy still life set up in front of them and had to really look at what was actually there, rather than drawing what they thought they could see. They did such a brilliant job! 👏🎨

🖍️ Drawing Skills
Still life continued here too! The group started by sketching what they could see before getting stuck into some gorgeous oil pastels to add colour and bring their drawings to life.

✍️ Creative Writing
Our writers were exploring the wonderful world of description! 📖 We looked at how and why writers use description and used lots of different books to spot examples and see how authors make their stories come alive.

🧵 Needlecraft
The beautiful embroidery projects are coming together! 🪡✨ The group were busy finishing off their creations and they are looking absolutely amazing. We can't wait to see them all finished!

📸 Photography
Flowers were the focus for our photographers this week! 🌸📷 They were capturing all the beautiful colours, details and textures — and getting some gorgeous shots along the way.

✨ Thursday Classes at Make & Create Arts! ✨

What a fantastic Thursday we had! 💛

🎶 Ukulele have been working on some amazing songs, filling the room with music and showing off their growing skills!

🎨 Drawing Skills continued their learning to Look project, creating some absolutely amazing sketches of what they would feel before seeing the object.

🌸 Advanced Drawing Skills have been diving deep into Monet’s beautiful Water Lilies, exploring the artwork and creating their own inspired pieces.

🎭 Drama Kids were busy working on script work, bringing their characters and scenes to life!

🎤 Intermediate Drama got creative by developing their own interviewee and interviewer characters and brought them to life.

🎭✨️ Youth Theatre had an absolute blast, enjoying lots of fun sketches, games and activities together!

Here’s a little snapshot of what our creative classes have been getting up to this week! 🎨📚📸🧵
🎨 Arts & Crafts – Our young artists have been getting creative and bringing their imaginations to life by drawing in the blanks of some beautiful animals to create some amazing pictures.

✏️ Drawing Skills – Learning to Look! This week our young artists explored one of the most important drawing skills — observation!
We started with a mystery challenge, drawing an object based only on what it felt like. Then, once the mystery was revealed, they drew it again using what they could actually see. 🖍️✨

📚 Creative Writing – We’ve been diving deep into the world of books, exploring different writing techniques and discovering new ways to bring stories and ideas to life. ✍️📖

🧵 Needlecraft – Our talented crafters have been continuing their beautiful embroidery projects, with lots of patience, creativity and attention to detail! 🌸🪡

📸 Photography
This week, our photographers have been exploring product photography, learning how to capture products in creative and eye-catching ways while experimenting with composition, lighting and presentation. 🛍️📷✨

We had a wonderful time in our Thursday classes. It was buzzing with excitement as we welcomed two extra classes to our programme! We were so happy to meet so many new faces and, of course, welcome back our old friends. 💛

Thursday was packed with creativity, music and drama, with Drawing Skills, Advanced Drawing Skills and Needlecraft bringing out everyone’s creative side, while our Ukulele and Advanced Ukulele classes were filled with music and fun. 🎨🧵🎶

And there was plenty of drama too, with Drama Kids, Intermediate Drama and Youth Theatre taking over the stage! 🎭✨

✨ What a first night back! ✨
We were so thrilled to see everyone back at class, as well as welcoming lots of new faces! 💛

🎨 Arts & Crafts — We made our very own cameras, complete with pictures of our favourite summer memories.

✏️ Drawing Skills - Created beautiful sketchbooks that they can use every week to track their progress.

✏️ Advanced Drawing Skills — We had lots of fun with some blind drawing exercises!

✍️ Creative Writing — Our writers got to know each other through some very fun and creative writing games.

🧵 Needlecraft — They jumped straight in and got started on some beautiful embroidery. Some of our students also got to take home their amazing pieces they made for Showcase last term.

📸 Photography — Our photographers went back to basics, learning everything they need to know before creating some amazing headshots.

It was such a fantastic first night, and we can't wait to see what everyone creates this term! 🌟
