📣JUST ANNOUNCED

On Tuesday 22 September 2026 at 7pm we will be screening NT Live: The Misanthrope, starring Sandra Oh.

Award-winner Sandra Oh (Killing Eve) plays the title role in this razor-sharp reimagining of Molière’s classic dark comedy.

Telling the truth isn’t always that simple. Alice, a brilliant novelist, despises the carefully constructed lies of modern society. But the more she challenges those around her, the fiercer the backlash becomes. Soon, she must confront the price of speaking her truth in a world that would rather silence her.

Filmed live on stage at the National Theatre, Indhu Rubasingham directs Martin Crimp’s (Cyrano de Bergerac) highly anticipated play.

Earlier this month we hosted the fantastic Comedy Buoys at the Amey Theatre!

It was a huge success as audiences filled the auditorium for a brilliant night of comedy featuring Mike Gunn, Ingrid Dahle and headliner Ed Byrne.

This marked the start of comedy gigs at the Amey Theatre and we are very excited to be welcoming Rory Bremner to the stage this Autumn on 12 September 2026!

Tickets are selling fast so be sure to book yours before it is too late!

Get ready to be inspired! Abingdon School warmly invites you to Celebration of the Arts, an evening of Arts events at Abingdon School on 24 June 2026.

Join us from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM for an unforgettable evening featuring an electrifying outdoor concert, ‘Anything But Classical’, featuring performers from schools in Abingdon, the House Drama Competition Final in the Amey Theatre, plus a stunning showcase of our students’ incredible artwork in the Art Department.

This is your chance to celebrate the brilliant creativity and talent of our young artists and performers—everyone’s welcome!

Parents are warmly invited to attend this event and (weather permitting) bring a picnic to eat on Upper Field. Please note that no nuts are allowed on site due to food allergies.

With 'Oliver! Jr' done and dusted (and the set almost completely dismantled) we wanted to do a big shout out to our amazing Amey Theatre Technical Crew!

Without these dedicated students, who work with anything from set building, prop making, to sound and lighting, we wouldn't be able to pull off our famously complex and ambitious (if we say so ourselves) productions. At Abingdon we are so lucky to have so much talent both on and off the stage.

The first picture shows the crew from 'Oliver! Jr' and in the second they are joined by our soon to be ATTC alumni, who came to support the show and kindly help with the get out.

Now time for a little rest over the weekend before Abingdon and Witney College with 9 to 5 next week!

During this performance there will also be performances from Abingdon School and other schools who have recently had workshops with ‘Out of the Blue’.
