At next week’s meeting on 28th October we will kick off with the usual start of year brief run through of the programme (posted on https://dwyforcameraclub.com) to address any questions. We will then run through a long-term project using What3Words for us all to join in and how it will fit into the Summer exhibition, and share ideas about possible locations and the sorts of shots to take. Bring your cameras and a warm coat, as after the break we will (if the weather is kind) explore one of the locations to try out a few shots. As always at this time of year we need contingency plans, so if the weather is inclement we could have a practical session after coffee when those having issues with camera settings etc (a number have suggested they would like help) can sort things out, and/or explore further the use of layers in post-processing (another request; bring your laptop for ready access).

A quick heads-up that the talk on Nov 4th has been postponed. In preparation for next years Art Portfolio challenge that some have requested help with, we will run half an evening on producing panels using some examples that people can decide how to arrange, then discuss how to put them together.

We are having our first meeting in the newly decorated Abersoch Village Hall next tuesday night October 21st at 7.30, Free parking is available just talk to a member on arrival. Meetings typically last about 2 hrs with a refreshment break mid-way. If this doesn't work for you please contact our secretary Jackie Mitchell on [email protected] and she will send you full details about joining. We would love to see some new faces.

We regret that we are having to delay our open evening from the 7th October until the 21st due to uncertainty in the completion date for the decorating works in the hall.
We will be meeting on Zoom on the 7th and the 14th. If you are interested in joining before then please use Messenger to contact us for more information.
If you want to meet us and hear more about the club please come along to the Village Hall at 7.30 on the 21st.
Please note hall users park free of charge. We'll explain how it works when you visit.
We are a friendly club and welcome anyone who is interested in photography using whatever method, e.g. camera, phone...

We are planning our opening night on Tuesday October 7th, however as the village hall is currently being decorated we don't yet know which room we will be using or indeed whether any room will be finished for us to use. I'm awaiting an update on the progress of the decoration and will share any news I get.

Advance warning, our first meeting of the season is on October 7th 7.30 in Abersoch Village Hall. Everyone welcome, would love to see some new and/old faces. All you need is an interest in photography and ideally something to take pictures with; camera, phone, tablet etc..
