Here's a new song upload to youtube, "Here Among The Living", quite different from the others I've recently posted, very atmospheric perhaps otherworldly even and it goes really well with the footage I found for the video. The video is edited from from the fascinating 1928 avant- garde film: "The Life and Death of 9413: a Hollywood Extra". An experimental short film critiquing the Hollywood star system, co-written and co-directed by Robert Florey and Slavko Vorkapić. Considered a landmark of American avant-garde cinema. Here’s a reworking of a song that I originally recorded in 2018 with words that take me back to another time and place. Some of you may spot an ambiguous reference to a favourite watering hole back in the 80s and 90s! The video has footage from an animated film made in 1957 by Disney called "Mars and Beyond", which to our modern eye has an amazing future retro vibe to it that I love. Thanks for listening 😊
