Public Engagement at University of Aberdeen

Public Engagement at University of Aberdeen The Public Engagement with Research Unit (PERU) at the University of Aberdeen. Sessions run from January through to October and are free to attend.

PERU organises events and activities to support public engagement with research from across the University, this includes the regular Cafe Scientifique events. Our Cafe Scientifique Aberdeen City series takes place monthly in Waterstone's Union Bridge book store in Aberdeen's Union Street, usually around the middle Wednesday of the month. No booking is required and places are allocated on the firs

t-come basis. What's more, most events are free (though some require booking). All are pitched at a very accessible level and give ample time for audience questions and discussion.

⏰Its hard to believe the clocks go forward this weekend and its April next week when we have 2 exciting events on 2 very different topics happening...

Our regular Café Sci is on 15th April and explores the fascinating world of gut health and how intestinal viruses may influence health and disease.

Then on 28th April we have a joint event with the Institute for Fiscal Studies where an expert panel will be discussing Tax, Spending and the Economy.

Have a look at our events section for more info and booking details!
