Last summer we announced that Aberdeen Arts Centre was commissioning a brand new musical to be performed by our in-house youth theatre company, CTC. After a nation-wide search and over 50 applications, we are so excited to finally reveal the chosen musical to you all!

THE NEW KID by Eden Tredwell is a playful, fresh take on the time loop trope and full of catchy, pop-style musical numbers. CTC have been working hard in rehearsals alongside Eden to shape the final piece - you don’t want to miss your chance to be a part of its first ever audience this June!

Our Saturday Workshops for ages 3-17 are the perfect introduction for young people to engage with drama and performance in a fun, informal environment. Drop-ins welcome!

⭐ Ages 3-4 | 10am-11am | £30 for 6 week term OR £5 per session
Join us for a relaxed hour of drama and creative play exploring stories. Combined with a mix of music, puppetry, rhyme and craft.

⭐ Ages 5-7 | 10am-11am | £35 for 6 week term OR £6.50 per session
This hour of magical songs, movement and storytelling is designed to develop and nourish motor skills and teamwork through drama and creative play.

⭐ Ages 8-11 | 10am-11am | £35 for 6 week term OR £6.50 per session
An energetic and fun class which inspires and stretches the imagination. Sessions will focus on drama, creativity and developing skills such as teamwork, coordination and finding your voice. Every week is a new adventure!

⭐ Ages 12-17 | 11.30am-12.30pm | £35 for 6 week term OR £6.50 per session
This fun and supportive class aims to encourage and challenge a young actor’s skill set. This class focuses on developing essential performance skills each week, including voice, movement, improvisation, devising and script work.
