Been great fun working with Upbeat Music School to bring quality music tuition back to the studio. They have a wonderful approach towards tuition and top quality tutors who are just ace to work with!

Drum lessons are hosted at Captain Tom’s on Ann Street on Wednesdays and Thursdays between 3pm and 6pm. Beginners are welcome, as well as anyone looking to improve their existing skills. The unique Upbeat events are also included with the membership.
You can sign up for lessons through their website and if you haven’t joined before, they offer a free lesson to see if you jam!

For over 29 years Captain Toms has been all about making music accessible to all and with our 3 hours for the price of 2 deals on rehearsals there is no cheaper way to get in a room and play!

Monday to Friday between 12 noon and 6pm and Saturdays between 12 noon and 9pm you can get 3 for 2 on any of our rehearsal prices. So you can get 3 hours band rehearsal for just £40 which is just £10 each for a band of 4 people!

You can also get 3 hours solo rehearsal for just £20 and 3 hours duo rehearsal for just £30!

No excuses, get on it.

That was a lot of legends in the studio together on Monday morning!

What a day at Captain Tom’s and Pittodrie. ❤️

We were joined by AFC fans from New Orleans, Ghent and Aberdeen, alongside long-serving AFC staff, three heroes from the 1983 team, a golfing legend and a broadcasting legend, all coming together with Terry McDermott and The Algiers to record crowd vocals for the track.

The day didn’t stop there. Terry and the band then headed to Pittodrie for a special acoustic set before sitting down with Richard Gordon for an interview.
We’ll be sharing all of that very soon.

For now, a huge thank you to everyone who took part and everyone who helped make it happen: Aberdeen Football Club, Captain Toms, Aberdeen FC Community Trust, Terry McDermott Music, The Algiers, Jim Leighton, John Hewitt, Neil Simpson, Paul Lawrie, Richard Gordon, Peter Davidson and all those who gave their time, energy and support.

It was a special day, a great Finn Moray moment, and another reminder of just how much this project is growing into something really special.
