Aberdeen Sinfonietta is one of the most outstanding cultural assets of Aberdeen and the North East. Formed initially in 1987 as a small group of musicians, it now brings together many of the best players in this part of Scotland. It gives regular orchestral concerts in Aberdeen's Music Hall, often with internationally recognised soloists and conductors, and it also works with prominent choral and

operatic societies. By involving itself in a wide range of musical activities, it endeavours to bring a great variety of musical events of a high calibre to an ever-widening audience.
