Forgot I had painted this at the end of last Autumn/Winter. Found it today as I was sifting through old paintings. Not done much recently as hands and neck still sore but at least have a date for my neck operation of 20th April. Wish me luck. I do miss painting.

'Get rid of the white' they always say to start a painting...so I got rid of it and then reintroduced it. This image is a small part of a larger painting of the roses I brought in from my garden. I dedicate this painting to Sinead O'connor who died recently. A true heroine who stood by her convictions when many tried to drown out her beautiful voice ...a sensitive, complex soul whose words and actions were meaningful. A most beautiful rose among roses

I was a bit worried about the high temperatures this time of year in the South of France but in this area there is always a wind which keeps them bearable...for which Im thankful on my daily adventures...especially as I've been taking public transport and walking a lot !! Well today's wee excursion to Gruissan on the local bus was fun! Managed to speak with some locals who were better than tour guides! Lovely wee town ..will definitely go back and ...despite it being very hot and very windy...managed a fast sketching session looking down on the old town...even managed to have a lovely companion at my lunch stop!

Magical Narbonne...colour everywhere and thank goodness for trees ❤ Have now moved into my wee apartment and blending in with the locals 😄 Off to visit Gruissan today so am away to catch my bus ! Hope the sun is shining wherever you are
