**Grad ball update**

Hey guys! Sorry for the lack of updates from the page over the past couple months, obviously, it’s been a pretty crazy time for us all.

Unfortunately grad ball will have to be postponed due to the current circumstances. However, we are actively working with a venue to find a more suitable date. As soon as we have anymore information we will post it on this page.

We would really appreciate if you could share this with your course mates who don’t follow the page to keep them informed too ☺️

Keep an eye out and hopefully we will have more exciting updates soon x

** Hamper announcement **

Due to the tickets being sold out we decided to draw the numbers at tonight’s grad ball fundraising quiz.

Through the use of a random number generator we would like to announce that Kirsty McNeil (number 16) has won!!

Thank you so much to everyone who has bought a ticket and helped to raise funds for our ball, everyone at the committee is really grateful x

We will post more information shortly about venues once we have everything signed!

Hi Guys,

Can anyone that is graduating in 2020 please fill in the short survey attached below. (This includes s17 and s16 HONS) It will only take a couple of minutes to complete ☺️.

Please note that this does NOT guarantee you a ticket, it just gives us a better idea of the numbers we will be planning for. After all, we want to make sure that everyone who wants to come does get to!

We are aware that there has been a lot of rumours and confusion surrounding the situation of Honours classes.

We can confirm that the Honours 2016 students will definitely have access to tickets for the Graduation Ball during the first ticket release.

However we are still unsure on final numbers since it is still very early in the planning process. I hope you understand that we need to prioritise those who are graduating this year, so Honours 2017 students will be able to purchase tickets during the second release of tickets that are also available for plus ones.

This is to ensure that all 2020 graduates have priority access to their own graduation ball, however we are confident that everyone who would like to attend will be able to (although this cannot be 100% guaranteed).

If you have any queries at all, you can contact Anna at [email protected] or Emma at [email protected]

As we are now in our 3rd year of nursing training, our graduation is quickly approaching.

We have created a committee to organise our Graduation Ball for all 260 nursing students, but sadly we have to fund the event solely through our own fundraising approaches.

I'm sure you can all appreciate how much planning needs to go in to an event catering for 500 people and how difficult this is for us to do whilst trying to complete our university coursework and keep up with our placement hours that we are required to carry out in order to register as a nurse.

Currently we are trying to secure a venue for our event, but a £3000 deposit is required. We have fundraising events ongoing but since we are having to start from no money at all, we obviously still have a lot of work to do.

We would really appreciate any donations that anyone could give as we still have a long way to go, however we are determined to make sure that our Graduation Ball is one that all our fellow nursing students deserve! We have all worked extremely hard over the last 3 years and would like to provide a proper celebration in honour of this.

Hey! This is just a post about the upcoming fundraising events that are taking place:

1. The Grad ball committee is running a competition that could give you the chance to win a hamper full of cleaning products (please see pic below of the hamper). To enter all you need to do is pay £3 for a single ticket or £5 for two tickets - you’ll then be given a number per ticket. The closing date for the tickets is by the end of the day of the 5th December and the winning ticket will be chosen on Friday 6th December. You can order as many tickets as you like and the competition is open to all, not just nursing students. Feel free to comment or message the page for more details.

2. As you may already know there is a quiz night taking place on the 3rd of December (6-8pm). It would be great if as much people went to this event as it’ll help us with fundraising so that we are able to secure the money needed for a deposit of a venue. Please note that you can have up to 6 people in your team and that teams must be registered by the 18th November. There is a £12 registration fee for this event. If you need any more information please refer to the picture of the email below.
