A fantastic day hosted by the For Freedom Museum in Belgium. The most unbelievable second world war collection with a proud focus on the Scottish and Canadian Scottish contribution to the liberation of Belgium.

A fantastic reception for the Gordon Highlanders today at just north of Bruges Belgium. This museum is a hidden gem with one of the most impressive second world war collections I have ever seen that outlines the relationship between the Scots, Canadians and Belgian's who were tasked with clearing route to Antwerp.

I was fortunate enough to spend this week in France with the Gordon Highlanders Association, representing 7Scots to lay wreaths and pay respect to the Gordon Highlanders who during the second world war made the ultimate sacrifice.

"They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old.
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun, and in the morning
We will remember them"
