Hello Everyone,
It is with sadness that the Acoustic Hub met for the last time in November. There will be no further meetups. For internal reasons, St Elvans has asked us to change the night to a Thursday but for so many members this is not a possibility, so we have decided to discontinue.

Our thanks to St Elvan's and St Elvan's Community Heritage Project, Aberdare and (our original home) Our Sacred Spirit for their support for live music for so long. Your involvement and encouragement have been greatly appreciated.

Please support live music wherever you can. Use it or lose it. Sadly, so many have lost the habit of going out and socialising because staying at home and doomscrolling is easier, which means venues are closing giving fewer opportunities for players and performances.

Get out there and support live music before it’s too late!

Goodness me! It's that time of the month.

Time to exercise the musical muscles and entertain each other with song, tune, poem and even dance. Oh yes, and storytelling.

Summer is over. Hope you had a great one. Now it's back to Business As Usual.

The next Hub Open Mic will be 7:00pm - 9:45 at St Elvans, Wednesday 10th September. £3:00 door. Tea, coffee available.

Bring voices, poems, song, dance, instruments - anything to entertain ourselves that involves acoustic sound - singing, playing, reciting, original or covers.

It will soon be the Second Wednesday of the Month -9th July.

That means another meetup of musicians, storytellers and poets at St Elvan's monthly acoustic open mic.

Bring anything you can get a tune out of and give us a song - original or cover, all levels welcome.

7:00 - 9:45. £3.00 on the door to help the Church keep the doors open! Tea and coffee available. Free nearby parking. See you there.

James Oliver Band. played St Elvans last year, with me opening. James enjoyed it so much he asked could we do it again. So here we are. It's a small venue, so get your tickets while they're available. Keep Aberdare alive as a centre for live music, Folks. It'll be a great night.
