I know I've been incredibly rubbish at posting over the last few months, and I've been even worse at actually making anything!
The last things I completed were items for my wonderful sister's wedding. Not long after that, I had a bit of a relapse with my health, followed by losing my grandmother.
Honestly, I lost my creative mojo.
Then, with a promotion in my full-time job, trying to navigate my chronic illnesses, and trying to make the most of every minute as a mum to an active five-year-old, I just haven't really felt the motivation for Keeky's. And that's actually really sad.
In all honesty, I know lots of small businesses are feeling the pinch right now. Materials are increasing in price, AI is impacting so many areas, and several of my suppliers for raw materials have closed, so it's getting harder and harder out there.
Customers are feeling the pinch too, which means people are buying less while understandably wanting more for their money. Unfortunately, that just isn't sustainable for a small business.
Add to that the fact that social media algorithms seem to push larger businesses more than small independents, and it feels like everything has just come at once.
But I'm still here. And I'm still going to need somewhere for my creative outlet, even if I'm not quite sure what that looks like right now.
In the meantime, I wanted to share some of my favourite makes from over the last few years. ❤️
Whether I decide to continue or not, each and every thing I've created for you has meant something to me, and I'm so grateful to every single person who has supported me along the way.
If I do decide to close my business, I'll have lots of stock to get rid of... but I'm still not sure I'm ready to fully let go just yet.
