We are a family run Local Yarn Store (LYS), established in 1973. Specialists in all aspects of Hand Knitting, Crochet, and Cross Stitch. We also offer a bespoke framing service with a large range of mouldings and a huge selection of coloured mounts to choose from.

Daeth Yr Awr!! The time has finally arrived!! The shop has shut it's door for the last time, and retirement is just around the corner! After 53 years, 13 of those with me at the helm, I want to thank all my amazing customers, many who are now friends, for all your support during my time and mum's running the wool shop at Birmingham House. Thank you for all the kind gifts, cards and well wishes. It's time for me now to enjoy the next chapter in my life, and hope you will transfer your loyalties just down the road to

Well, after a well deserved weekend away (again!!!) following the first two hectic weeks of 2026 its time to announce to the big wide world that retirement for me is now very much on the horizon, and the last selling day for will be Saturday 28th February!! (Yaaaaaaaay!)
So, all my lovely, supportive customers can now come and stock up with 20% off everything in the shop, but remember when its gone its gone!!
