The next Model Kit Studio playtest is almost here… and it’s bigger than expected.

The next public playtest for Model Kit Studio is officially on its way.

We’re getting very close to reaching the development milestone that will allow us to open the doors again — and this time, there’s more waiting for you than we originally planned.

No relaxing build session this time — we’re going full speedrun.

Watch this model kit piece get cut from the sprue as fast as possible, one precise clip at a time. The goal: maximum speed, clean cuts, and absolutely no unnecessary movements.

We’ve got a new roommate in Model Kit Studio. 🐈

This little guest just showed up in the apartment and seems perfectly happy hanging around while we build, paint, and customize mecha at the workbench.

The only problem is… the studio still hasn’t chosen a name.

What should we call our new feline co-builder? Drop your best suggestions in the comments — the funniest, cutest, or most model-kit-inspired name might become part of the game.

There’s nothing better than hearing that clean little snip when removing plastic nubs from a model kit.

A new Model Kit Studio Playtest soon?

I was ready to leak the date of the next Model Kit Studio playtest…

But then I remembered that the devs have been working incredibly hard on new features, improvements, and satisfying surprises that deserve a proper reveal.

So no date leak today.

You’ll just have to stay tuned, wishlist the game on Steam, and wait for the official announcement. The next playtest is going to be even better.

Meanwhile, your friend is locked in for the entire weekend, assembling mecha, trimming nubs, painting details, applying decals, and treating the workbench like a sacred place.

At least in Model Kit Studio, he can enjoy the full Gunpla experience without taking over the entire apartment.

Back in early July, we hit 50,000 wishlists on Steam.

Now we’re already past that milestone, and the game keeps growing every day.

For Model Kit Studio, we want the soundtrack to feel like a late-night workbench session: cozy, focused, and satisfying, but still with enough energy to keep you building piece after piece.
