Our last residency at was absolutely amazing!

First of all, because we discovered an incredible, completely self-produced reality that has been offering a rich program of culture and art for 20 years. We also made new connections that we are sure will grow over time.

Secondly, because for the very first time, we opened our new Bureau of Surrealist Research—a special moment shared with passersby, diving together into the world of dreams and the unconscious.

Cogito is not just a show. We want it to be an experience you can live in different ways, discovering something new about yourself every time you encounter it.

“Who are you when nobody’s watching you?”

Cogito is growing.

What began as physical research for a show is now expanding into other forms, and we’re excited about it!

Cogito explores the realm of the and, in doing so, has brought us closer to the movement.

A new layer took shape at residency: even before entering the performance space, you’ll be drawn into the universe of your unconscious through a series of conceptual art installations created with materials we find in the space.

Stay tuned for the next step. On May 15th, during our residency week at , we will reopen the Office of Surrealist Investigations!

We are reaching the end of what FOCON was.
It has been some cool months with a lot of amazing people trying to help each other in chasing our own and unique artistic worlds.

Here we leave some of those moments, a big thanks to and to everyone we shared this journey with, and the hope that art will give a bit of light in a world that needs it every day more and more.

According to Plato, human beings once had four legs, four arms, and two heads, and were perfect.
So perfect that they dared to challenge the gods and were therefore punished: Zeus split them in two, condemning them to wander for the rest of their existence in search of this lost wholeness.

From then until today, we are united by a need for something we do not have and constantly seek: money, clothes, power, a partner, a job…
But what if what we are missing is still within us, simply hidden from our sight?

We are sorry if we're not answering to calls and emails as fast as we usually do in these days, but we are in the middle of the Ocean and here there is not a lot of 4G antennas!
We’ve embarked on the MSC Poesia as Guest Performers during a worldwide tour (for only one month, but still!!)
We boarded in Australia, passed by Papua New Guinea and Philippines and we’re now in Japan for a few days! After this we will go to Hong Kong and then down to Vietnam where we will disembark the first days of April.

Thank you to Camus entertainment and MSC for this incredible experience, we hope to do it again in the future!

Just a little advice to everyone is following us: if you have a dream, you're already rich.
Follow that dream even if sometimes it seems hard or unworthy, try to improve and get better at it every day. If you love what you do, one day for sure you will see the results of all this effort.
Don’t stop believing,
but work hard to make it real!

Another chapter of our story has been (un)closed.
We’ve been in Ethiopia for a month, looking for a place where to start the creation of our first show.
We certainly couldn’t imagine how overwhelming being there could have been. We were hosted by Fekat Circus, a reality in Addis Abeba that does a lot to bring kids and people out of the streets.
Life in Addis is not easy: the gap between rich and poor people is way bigger than everywhere we went until now and you can really feel it when you’re surrounded by kids that live on the streets begging for money just outside a tech shop run by some european or chinese multinational.
However, we definitely can't say that people there is poor.
They're rich of culture, traditions and they are willing to share this with the others.
As usual, who has less is able to give more.

This is why in a heartbeat we just put aside our project finding ourselves giving them all we were able to give. We taught during the free evening classes, we helped who was willing to create a new performance or was interested in improving theirs and in the end we made up a show together with them.
And the more we gave, the more we were feeling enriched by them, by their energy.

Without knowing it, we left there some pieces of our hearts, so we must come back one day to take them back and to see the results of the seeds we planted there.
We want to say thank you to all the Fekat Circus family to have made us grow so much in such a short time, we’ll never forget anyone and we’ll keep our promises.
