From my studio in Corsica to the Nevada desert
and finally, into the flames.
Some works are made to last. This one was born to burn. 🔥
Every work emerges from a feeling, a moment, a story that leaved a mark. This piece was born from an emotion. It speaks about passion, imperfection, vulnerability , time, transformation and ultimately detachment.
Inspired by Wabi-Sabi and Kintsugi, I am drawn to the beauty of things that are not permanent, not perfect, not untouched.
Gold, cracks, texture, the human silhouette, all the elements that have become part of my visual language are there and this piece naturally found its way to Burning Man.
A place where art exists everywhere, in the middle of the desert, surrounded by dust, fire, freedom and thousands of temporary stories. At Burning Man, art is not simply something to look at. It becomes something to experience.
After travelling all the way from my studio in Corsica to the Nevada desert, it became part of that extraordinary landscape for a few days. And then came the fire. Not as an ending. But as a transformation. Because we are not here to hold on to everything. We are here to experience, to feel, to transform and to let go.
Every emotion has its moment.Every moment leaves something behind. And sometimes, in order to become something new, something has to disappear.
The painting was born from an emotion. It lived in the desert.
It became part of a collective experience. And finally, it returned to the fire. Its physical form is gone. But the story remains.
Special thanks to Fabien and Salomé for taking a piece of my artistic universe with them on their Burning Man adventure, and for allowing this work to live such an extraordinary and unexpected chapter Burning Man Project 2026.
