🔧 Patreon Update

Over the past few months, Lebois Racing projects have evolved a lot:
new firmware releases, development of the Config Center, support improvements, documentation, hardware testing…

In order to keep developing, maintaining, and improving everything in good conditions, I’ve decided to slightly adjust the Patreon pricing for new subscribers.

👉Important: current supporters will of course keep their existing price❤️

This change helps ensure:

continuous development

better support

more complete and polished tools

Thank you to everyone supporting the project, for free or through Patreon — it’s thanks to you that all of this exists 🙏

Concretely: the PRO tier is going from €5 to €8.

Yes, €8 gives you instant access to 6 years of work — not too bad, right?

Firmware Update — RC7 for the SRT V10

Today I’m posting the RC7 firmware release for the SRT V10.

The full changelog is long, but the main highlights are:

eClutch fix for PCB v1.3

Added handbrake support (enable, calibration, live value display)

Added button plate button visualization to make key mapping easier

Known issue: Button 4 stays pressed on PCB v1.3

Next Major Improvements

Upcoming big updates:

In the Button Plate tab, functions will be displayed instead of raw numbers, using a dropdown list

For the eClutch, I will progressively add installation photos

More generally: more links to the relevant documentation throughout the Config Center

Major milestone in the development of the SRT V10 gearbox: I’m working on a dedicated software !

The SRT V10 Config Center will allow you to configure the gearbox and also debug it, without needing to flash the gearbox with modified code or enter lines of code in SimHub. Everything is designed to make testing and fine-tuning settings easy.

For now, this is a beta version that supports the e-clutch, mouse, and button plate mods. The interface will gradually evolve to include as much documentation and troubleshooting as possible, while integrating additional mods over time.

On the firmware side, I’ve worked to keep the V1.2 and V1.3 PCB firmwares as close as possible, so both can continue to be supported in parallel. In fact, I mainly used the V1.2 PCB to develop the software.

I’ll also update the documentation progressively so it reflects the software. The idea, however, is that the documentation will be directly accessible within the software itself—so even if the website isn’t fully up to date, it won’t be a big issue.

The Control Center is included in the firmware archive. You need to update the firmware for the Control Center to communicate with the gearbox, and it’s possible that future Control Center updates will also require a new firmware version. That said, I’ll try whenever possible to evolve the Control Center without touching the firmware, to minimize tedious operations.

As usual, the firmwares are available on this page:

The automatic eClutch calibration caused more problems than it solved, so I’ve added a manual calibration procedure directly integrated into the main firmware! No more flashing a different code, no need to open the Serial Monitor or type any commands.

Here’s how it works (once the new firmware is flashed):

Engage 3rd gear, press the lever into reverse, and plug in the gearbox → you are now in calibration mode!

Return to neutral, then shift to 3rd or 4th gear to decrease or increase the locked position.

Press the reverse switch to test the locked position.

Engage 1st gear to save the calibration and return to normal mode.

The firmware has been tested with PCB v1.3 (and newer) — this is Firmware RC5.For PCB v1.2, I’ve updated the firmware (version RC2b) but haven’t been able to test it yet.

For reference, the automatic calibration still exists: engage 4th gear, press the reverse switch, and plug in the gearbox to activate it — but I haven’t reworked that feature yet.

That’s it! I hope this makes your life easier — and there are more improvements on the way.

As usual, the firmwares are available here:

Yes, it's not the first time... and the reasons are always the same... Too much work, too many delays, customer service that's starting to drag on, and it's starting to impact my (non-)personal life...
So from now on, no new orders (makerpack, 3D prints, etc.) will be processed before October 20th... That's enough time to process everything I already have, move forward with the work, and organize the garage. Then, I also have to fulfill other commitments like releasing updates for DIY projects and releasing some videos I've committed to.
Of course, customer service for past and current orders will be provided.

The April update is available! New PCB (v1.3), new firmware, 3D fixes, everything is detailed on the website:

https://lebois-racing.com/srt-gearbox-april-update/

New PCB v1.3 The long-awaited new PCB is here! It brings several changes. The most important is the replacement of the Texas Instruments sensors with classic A3144s…yes, the same ones as in V9. It was the TI sensors that were causing a latency issue. This is now resolved. The only slight drawback ...
